Privacy and Security
This page is a short summary of what PokerSjef keeps, where it keeps it and who can see it. The privacy page has every detail.
Where the Data Is
- The data is in one PostgreSQL database at Supabase, in Stockholm, Sweden, in the EU.
- The part of PokerSjef that makes the changes runs at Supabase, in Frankfurt, Germany. The web pages come from Cloudflare.
- Cloudflare sees each visit to the pages, such as the address that it comes from, but not the data in the database.
- Supabase, Cloudflare and Google process data on behalf of the club. Google gets only the text that a director types to find a venue.
- PokerSjef uses no advertising cookie, no analytics service and no tracker. No advertising company receives anything.
- PokerSjef sells nothing, and it shares nothing with another company.
- Your browser keeps your sign-in, your language and your date format. So you stay signed in, and the page opens in your language.
Sign-In with Google or Facebook
You sign in with Google or Facebook. PokerSjef asks for two things only: your email address and your basic public profile, which is your name and your picture.
PokerSjef reads no mail, no contacts, no files and no list of friends. It never writes to your Google or Facebook account, and it never posts for you.
You can remove the connection in your Google or Facebook account at any time. Your PokerSjef account stays until you delete it.
Who Sees What
- Each club sees only its own data. The database checks the role of the account on every read and every write.
- Every person in a club has one of five roles. The server checks every right, whatever a screen shows.
- A private event shows only to the club’s owner and directors, and to the players who are signed up for it.
- A visitor who is not signed in cannot read event, player or club data.
- A winner’s photo has a long, random address that no list shows. The winner can remove it at any time.
Every Action Recorded
PokerSjef records every action with the account that did it, and the time. A director sees it in the audit log.
PokerSjef keeps these records for two years. Each night, it deletes the older records. It never deletes a result, a money record, a payout or a standing.
A club’s owner can remove a player record that has no account. If that player never played an event, PokerSjef deletes the record and every signup in full.
When Support Helps a Club
The PokerSjef administrator role gives no rights in a club. To help a club, support can review it in one role, with a reason, for at most four hours.
The club’s audit log records the review. Each action of the review carries the name of the administrator.
Delete Your Account
You can delete your account and its data at any time.
- Sign in to PokerSjef. Open the account menu, and choose Profile.
- Open the Delete Account tab. Press Delete Account.
- Type your email address to confirm. Then press Delete My Account for Good.
What Happens Then
PokerSjef deletes the account at once. It deletes your email address, your picture, any winner’s photo of you and your link to Google or Facebook.
Your name becomes “Deleted player” everywhere. A finished event keeps its result for the seasons and leagues, without your name.
If you are the owner or the only director of a club, give the club to another member first.
Do you have two accounts, for example one from Google and one from Facebook, or two from Google? You can join them in Profile, on the Sign-In Methods tab. Press Connect, or Join Another Google Account. Then choose the account to keep. The clubs, the roles and the results move to one account, and PokerSjef deletes the other account.
You can also write to support. The operator then deletes the account within 30 days.
Your Choices
- Ask the operator for a copy of the data that PokerSjef keeps about you, or to correct it.
- Write to pokersjef-support@googlegroups.com. The operator answers within 30 days.
- You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
- PokerSjef is for adults who play at a club. Do not create an account for a child.
