Chip Distribution Calculator

How many chips of each colour each player gets for the starting stack, and how many chips the field needs.

The Chip Set and the Event

Chip Set

Each chip shows its value and the name of its colour, so nobody depends on the colour alone.

The Event
The First Level

As in PokerSjef, the small blind starts at one smallest chip and the big blind at two. Leave the ante empty when the first level has none.

Rebuys and Add-Ons

Type the number that you expect, or 0. Each rebuy and each add-on is a stack of its own.

How the Chips Are Shared Out

PokerSjef divides a stack into chips in the same way as the quick event in the app. The first level and the chip set decide which chips a player gets.

  1. The smallest chip in the stack is the largest chip that makes the stack and every amount of the first level. Smaller chips stay in the case.
  2. Each chip in the stack is a whole number of the smallest chip. No chip is worth more than a quarter of the stack.
  3. The smallest chips add up to at least two of the next chip, and to at least twice the smallest blind or ante.
  4. Each chip between the smallest and the largest comes at least four times, and enough to change one of the next chip.
  5. The rest of the stack goes in the largest chips first. What is left goes in the smallest chip, so the total is exactly the stack.

Rebuys, Add-Ons and the Field

A rebuy and an add-on use the same rule as the starting stack, with the same first level. The field needs one stack for each player, each rebuy and each add-on.

In PokerSjef, the quick event shows the chips that each player gets, and the room clock shows the chips still in play.
