Show Your Standings and Events on Your Website

A club can show its league and season standings, its Sit & Go leaderboards and its coming events on its own website. The website shows them as PokerSjef does, and they stay current.

What You Can Show

  • The standings of a league or a season: the rank, the points, the events, the wins and the final tables of each player.
  • The Sit & Go leaderboards: one for each game and one for the mixed games, for this month or for all time.
  • The coming events of the club: the date, the event and its venue, how many players signed up, and the status.
  • Each one has its own switch. Each one is private until the owner or a director makes it public.

A public page has two uses. Its code puts it on your club’s website, and its link opens it on its own, for example from your club’s chat.

Make League or Season Standings Public

  1. Open Ranking. Open the league or the season.
  2. Press Edit This League or Edit This Season.
  3. Under Public Standings, turn on Anybody Can See These Standings. Then press Make Them Public.
  4. Go back to the league or the season. Press Embed on Your Website.

When the points use money figures, for example a custom formula with the prize pool, the page says so before you make them public. Anybody who sees the standings can then work out the prizes from the points.

Make the Sit & Go Leaderboards Public

  1. Open Sit & Go. Then open the Settings tab.
  2. Under Public Leaderboards, turn on Anybody Can See the Leaderboards. Then press Make Them Public.
  3. Open Ranking, then the Sit & Go leaderboards. Choose the game and the period.
  4. Press Embed on Your Website. Each leaderboard and each period has its own code.

Make the Coming Events Public

  1. Open Club Settings. Then open the Features page.
  2. Under Public Event List, turn on Anybody Can See the Coming Events. Then press Make It Public.
  3. Press Embed on Your Website under the switch.
  • The list shows the events of today and the coming days, up to 20 events. A private event never shows.
  • No player’s name shows on the list, only how many players signed up and how many wait.
  • A visitor who taps an event opens it in PokerSjef. A member of the club signs up there. A visitor who is not in the club sees how to join.

Let Anybody with an Event Link Join

  1. Open Club Settings. Then open the Features page.
  2. Under Public Event List, turn on Anybody with an Event Link Can Join the Club. Then press Let Them Join.
  • Players share the links of events with their friends, and your website shows the links too. A person who is not in the club can then join from such a link.
  • With Instant Join, the person becomes a player at once. For a coming event, PokerSjef then asks if they want to sign up. A past event opens with its results.
  • With Standard Join, the person sends a request. A director approves it on the Members page.
  • A person whom a director removed from the club, or whose request a director refused, always sends a request.
  • A private event and a Sit & Go never let a person join. An event with a join code still asks for the code.
  • Before the join, the link says when late entry has closed or when the event needs its join code. The person can still join the club.
  • A player or a dealer of the club who opens the link of a coming event is asked once if they want to sign up. A dealer is not asked while the event runs.
  • In Messenger, WhatsApp and other chats, a shared event link shows the club's picture and the event.

The Embed Window

  • Choose Dark or Light, to match your website.
  • Choose Norsk or English. The page shows its words and its dates in that language.
  • The window shows the page as your website will show it.
  • Copy the Code copies the code for your website.
  • Under Or a Link is the address of the page. Anybody can open it, for example from your club’s chat or a Facebook post.

Embed on Your Website

The Code

<iframe src="https://pokersjef.com/public/league/…" loading="lazy" style="width:100%;height:900px;border:0"></iframe>
<script src="https://pokersjef.com/embed.js" async></script>
Copy the Code

Or a Link

https://pokersjef.com/public/league/…Copy the Link
Choose the look and the language, copy the code, and paste it into your website. The link opens the same page on its own.

Put the Code on Your Website

  1. Copy the code in the Embed window.
  2. Open the editor of your website. Add a block for HTML code where the page must show.
  3. Paste the code into the block. Then save and publish the page of your website.
  • WordPress: the Custom HTML block.
  • Wix: Embed Code, then Embed HTML.
  • Squarespace: the Code block.
  • Google Sites: Embed, then Embed code.
  • A Facebook page cannot show the code. Share the link instead.

The code has two lines. The first line is the frame that shows the page. The second line makes the frame as tall as the page in it. When a website does not allow the second line, the frame is 900 pixels tall, and the page scrolls inside it.

How It Stays Current

  • The page changes by itself when a result changes. While an event runs, the standings change after a minute or two.
  • The code does not change. You copy it once, for the whole life of the league, the leaderboard or the list.
  • When you turn the switch off, new visits may show the page for one more minute. A page already open checks again every ten minutes, or every minute while an event runs. It then says This Page Is Not Public.
  • Search engines do not list these pages.

Names and Privacy

  • The pages show names and figures only. They show no e-mail address, no picture of a player and no money amount.
  • A player can hide their name on the public pages of every club: Profile, Preferences, Hide My Name on Public Pages. The name then shows as Hidden Player.
  • For a player without an account, a director does the same on the Members page. Open the player. Then turn on Hide the Name on Public Pages.
  • The members of the club still see every name in PokerSjef.

Tell your players before you make the standings public. A player who does not want their name on your website can hide it.
