Nytt i PokerSjef

  • 95 versjoner siden 8. september 2026

Oktober 2026

PokerSjef 0.59.3

  • The 8-Game Mix now plays its games in the order of the World Series of Poker: no-limit Hold'em, stud, Omaha hi-low, Razz, pot-limit Omaha, limit Hold'em, stud hi-low and 2-7 triple draw.
  • A table column or a section heading that has an explanation no longer has an (i) beside it. A dotted line under the heading shows that it has one: point at the heading, or tap it on a phone, to read it. This gives the tables more room.

PokerSjef 0.59.2

  • On a phone, the standings of a season or a league and a league's list of events now fit the screen. Each row shows the most important figures first, and the others on a short line under them. Nothing moves sideways any more.

PokerSjef 0.59.1

  • On a phone, a window now covers the whole screen, and the page behind it stays still. Before, the window was under the top bar and the tab bar, and a list in it did not scroll up and down freely.

PokerSjef 0.59.0

  • Directors can correct a result that was recorded wrongly.
  • On a busy night, each phone and each screen now asks the server for less. A change still shows on the room clock and the table pages in about a second. When the server is slow or does not answer, the screens wait longer between their tries, so the server can recover.

PokerSjef 0.58.4

  • When PokerSjef makes the levels of a stud game, it now chooses which ante the table collects. It uses the stud ante, one post for the table, while it is at most a tenth of the starting stack, and then the player ante. The change comes after a break when possible. You can still change the ante on any level.

PokerSjef 0.58.3

  • In stud games, the stud ante that one player posts for the table is now 60% of the big bet, rounded up to whole chips. It increases a little at each level, as the bets do. Until now it was six player antes, so it could double from one level to the next and then stay the same for several levels.

PokerSjef 0.58.2

  • In stud games, the ante that every player posts is now at least a tenth of the big bet, and never more than the bring-in. Until now it was rounded down, so it was often lower, and there was little to play for. Press Generate Again on the Edit page of an event to get the new antes.
  • When PokerSjef makes the levels, it now plans the colour-ups. After a break where the smallest chip can come off, every amount is a whole number of the next chip: the blinds, the bets, the antes and the bring-ins. So the small chips come off sooner, at one break after the other where the blinds allow it. The blinds themselves do not change for this.

PokerSjef 0.58.1

  • A fix to a feature that is not yet open to all clubs.

PokerSjef 0.58.0

  • The blind calculator now follows research into 46 published structures and the club nights played on PokerSjef. Balanced takes each value of the ladder before late entry closes too (200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800 and so on). It increases faster only if the starting stack would still be worth more than about 35 big blinds at the close.
  • Turbo now increases by a third to a half at each level until late entry closes, at about 25 big blinds, and then takes each value of the ladder. Real turbos are fast because of short levels, so when you choose Turbo, the form suggests 15-minute levels.
  • Slow Start is now Balanced from a deep stack of about 200 big blinds. It no longer makes a big step just before late entry closes.
  • The planned finish is now a big blind of about a fortieth of the chips in play, not a twentieth. Club events on PokerSjef finished well before a twentieth, so the last levels climbed too high. A structure's own night is now shorter, with lower blinds at the end.
  • On the Edit page, Turbo is no longer gentler than Balanced when the event keeps a length longer than Turbo needs.
  • An event saved before 19 October 2026 keeps its levels. Press Generate Again on its Edit page to get the new levels.

PokerSjef 0.57.1

  • With Shorter Levels Later in the Night, a new level length now always starts after a break, never in the middle of a session.

PokerSjef 0.57.0

  • You can now edit a template. In Club Settings, Templates, press Edit: the extended form opens with the settings and the name of the template. Change them, then press Save the Template to save a new version. If you change the name, the template keeps its earlier versions under the new name.
  • The blind calculator now increases the blinds less late in the night. Until late entry closes, the blinds increase as much as the event needs, and late entry closes while the starting stack is still worth about 25 big blinds (Turbo 20, Slow Start 30). After that, Balanced and Slow Start take each value of the ladder, a fifth to a third more at each level, and Turbo a half more at most. The structure cards say the new figures.
  • A new tick box on both event forms, "Shorter Levels Later in the Night", is on for new events. After the first break, levels longer than 20 minutes are shorter. Late in the night, every level is shorter again, in steps of 5 minutes and never under 10 minutes: for example 30, then 20, then 15 minutes, or 20, then 15 minutes late in the night. More levels then fit the night, so the event still finishes on time. The breaks still come about as often by the clock. Remove the tick for one length all night.
  • The quick event shows the minutes of each level, and the summary counts the levels of each length, for example "18 levels: 4 of 30 minutes, 8 of 20 and 6 of 15."
  • The extended form says how much the blinds increase before and after late entry closes. The Edit page keeps the shorter levels of an event that has them when you press Generate Again.
  • When a night is too short for its field, the form says that the last two players still have more than 20 big blinds each at the planned finish.
  • Help explains how the calculator increases the blinds and shortens the levels.

PokerSjef 0.56.1

  • When two desks record an add-on or a rebuy for the same player at the same moment, only the first is recorded. The second desk is asked to look again.
  • After you delete a league or a season, PokerSjef no longer asks whether to leave without saving a change to its name.
  • A league page that cannot read its standings or its events shows one message with one Try Again.
  • When a reload on a poor connection cannot check your sign-in, PokerSjef keeps the Try Again card and does not show the sign-in page. A press that you send again when the connection comes back is not recorded twice.
  • A visitor who is not signed in no longer sees "Checking your sign-in." for a moment before the sign-in page.
  • The card that shows when PokerSjef cannot check your sign-in has clearer words.

PokerSjef 0.56.0

  • My Results keeps clubs separate when they share a name. Each event keeps its saved time zone, also after the club changes it.
  • League, season, game and scoring edits ask before you leave without saving. A scoring change keeps your edits when another screen saves. Resetting unchanged scoring no longer offers an unnecessary save.
  • Failed reads offer Try Again on results, standings, members, games, templates, logs and administrator pages. A failed read no longer looks like an empty list.
  • Changing clubs or accounts clears the previous list at once. A refresh keeps the current list and its open member window.
  • When you change club, event or account, pages show the correct venues, invite links, suggested payouts, profiles, chip sets and players at once.
  • Event lists and game choices respond faster. Names in game lists and member files are sorted in the order of the app's language.
  • Shorter texts in English and Norwegian explain templates, result corrections, scoring and privacy information. The prize-pool choice no longer implies that club fees reach the pool. The public pages include Turbo in the four structure choices.

PokerSjef 0.55.0

  • A result with an empty prize pool no longer asks you to publish payouts before finalization. Events with money in the pool, and events with sponsored prizes, keep that guidance.
  • The full-size room clock preview keeps its scene selector clear of the event name. Its sound and screen-awake controls explain what the preview can do. Its Split menu explains how to open a real second clock.
  • A search for events to add to a league says when no event matches the search.
  • Betting amounts and profile pictures show faster. A changed picture, or one that cannot load, updates at once. Pages show an outline while they load, and event choices have more room on a small laptop.
  • Event cards have clearer names and spacing. The Quick and Extended choices share one control. Page changes use a short fade when the device allows motion.
  • When PokerSjef cannot check your sign-in, it offers Try Again, and presses that had no answer yet are kept. A changed join link shows its new QR code at once, and the QR code can be drawn again after an error.
  • The keyboard skips hidden and disabled fields in windows. The table's small Rebuy open caption is clearer. The main club and event pages are checked for accessibility on computers and phones.
  • A press whose answer was lost is not recorded twice when you send it again after a page reload. After you sign out, a slow sign-in check cannot sign you in again.
  • Rebuys and add-ons are checked again when the event changes before the sale is recorded. A changed price or purchase policy asks the desk to check again. A purchase that crosses a level boundary is checked against the new level and its break.
  • Stack surrenders, withdrawals and money reversals cannot leave fewer than zero chips in play, even when two people act at once.
  • When the room clock cannot read the standings beside it, it tries again at the next change in the event.
  • Continue with Google and Continue with Facebook on either front page open the sign-in that you chose.
  • Commands and sign-in are more reliable. The room clock, the table page and prize payments are checked on computers and phones before each release.
  • More checks before each release cover a sign-in that expired on the way back from Google or Facebook, and the split room clock's change to one clock when an event ends.

PokerSjef 0.54.0

  • Clearer screens on the night: on a phone held sideways the event's bar takes one line and the table page has no menu bar at the foot, so the blinds show; in full screen the table page shows the table only, but keeps a move to make or a rebuy to decide; Bust Out has "Rebuy open" under it in small words; during a hand of hand-for-hand, Hand Finished is the one green button. On the room clock, the blinds are larger on a 1280 x 720 screen, the chip values grow with the screen, "Level 1 · 20 min" shows under the countdown before the start, and the final table draw says "Seat" over each number. On the split room clock, each line of the strip starts with the half's spoken name when it has one.
  • The front page and the event pages load faster. The front page shows its text and pictures before the app loads, and a phone downloads smaller pictures.
  • After Finalize, the Results tab pays the prizes again. In 0.53.0 the server refused a payment on a finalized result. A prize can be paid before or after Finalize; to reverse a payment after Finalize, reopen the result first. Help says so.
  • A Reset the Clock after a player is out keeps late entry, rebuys and add-ons closed when they had closed.
  • When two places have the same claim to the last krone or øre of a prize, the better place gets it.
  • Finalize waits when a deal no longer matches the prize pool, or when a player has received more than their prize. The Results tab shows "Overpaid" for that player.
  • New payouts or a new deal are refused while a player has already received more than the new amount. The message names the player and tells you to reverse the payment first.
  • A prize payment, a level change, an unbust and a bust-out are refused when the event changed a moment before, so two people cannot overwrite each other.
  • When the number of paid places changes, the payout editor fills in new percentages, unless you typed them.
  • A reopened season or league keeps its stored final table.
  • When hand-for-hand ends at the final table, the minutes of the last hand count on the clock.
  • A table press that gets no answer goes again once after 15 seconds. The room clock and the staff pages check the connection more often, and a lost connection recovers faster.
  • Clearer words on several screens: Edit and Save the Game, Time of Year, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, Try Again when a club code search fails, and the break choices.
  • Security and privacy improvements in club codes, profile pictures and account deletion.
  • Clearer Norwegian on many screens: one word for each thing, the button names in quotes, and better word order. A screen reader now hears a new level or a break on the table page, reads the error under a field with that field, and hears refusals in windows at once. A seat notice at the desk stays while it has the focus or the pointer is on it, and the top of the room clock is a little darker over a club picture, so the text is easier to read.
  • Money records always stay. When you join two accounts, a cancelled signup that had a buy-in and a reversal is kept; if the join cannot keep it, the join stops and asks you to contact support.
  • When an account is deleted, more of its personal details are removed. An old profile picture is removed from storage when you upload a new one, when you remove your picture, and when you join two accounts.
  • When an account is deleted, or the owner removes a member or a player, their signups for an event that has started but that they did not play are withdrawn. The first person on the waiting list gets each place.
  • On the Edit page, an event that starts in the hour that the clocks repeat in autumn (for example 02:30 on 25 October) no longer moves an hour when you save without a change to its start.
  • A start time typed before the date takes today's date at the club, not the date on your device.
  • The times and dates in the audit logs, on the Members page and its file, and on the season and league standings are in the club's time zone, not your device's.
  • The server refuses a time zone that it does not know, for an event or a club, for example a typing error or an offset such as +02:00.
  • On the split room clock, the clock that takes the whole screen after one event ends keeps the sound of its half: the same Chime and Voice choice, and no new tap on the laptop. A tap on one half also turns on the sound of the other half; if the browser does not allow that, a line under the other half asks for one tap there. In a half with results or payouts beside the tables, two table cards show side by side, not one, and the rows of that list are larger. A long information strip now moves more slowly, so it is easier to read.
  • The blind calculator's planned finish is kept with the event. A Casino structure, or rebuys and add-ons typed other than the estimate, no longer make the room clock count the spare levels as planned levels. Move Up and Move Down still move the finish.
  • On the Edit page, "Use the Calculated Finish" shows only after you move the planned finish. It moves the finish back to where the blind calculator put it. This also applies to a copy of an event and to a template.
  • A H.O.R.S.E. event or another fixed-limit mix that the calculator made opens again in Automatic, with the bases it was made from.
  • Add a Level puts half again on the last level, rounded to an amount the chips make, for example 2,500 after 1,500 on 100 chips. After a blank base it starts at two chips.
  • Balanced and Turbo never more than double the small bet of a fixed-limit game from one level to the next.
  • Reopen for Correction is refused for an event that counts in a finished league. The owner cannot delete an event that counts in a finished league, or a finalized event that counts in a finished season.
  • On a closed result, the players at the final table and the buy-in can no longer change, as the date and the points multiplier already could not. They decide the points.
  • A scoring system takes numbers up to 1,000,000, and a custom formula that gives more points is refused, so a very large number no longer stops the standings page.
  • The points beside the room clock change after a rebuy or a late entry, not only after the next bust-out.
  • Points by Place says when the text is not a list of numbers, and the scoring cannot be saved until it is.
  • Clearer room clock and table page: the next level of a limit game says "Small blind 300 · bets 600 / 1,200" in place of "SB", also in the voice; a break says "Level 7 starts when the break ends"; Full Screen on the table page goes to the table's card, and its note about the screen that stays awake no longer covers the game or the clock; the five figures in a half of the split room clock stay on one row; and the bust-out buttons and the table chips are easier to touch. A screen reader now hears "Seat" in the final table draw and hears Elapsed and Break In on the room clock.
  • The screens now work on a phone that uses a very large text size or zoom: nothing goes off the side of the screen, names and buttons wrap onto the next line, the bars at the top and the foot no longer stay over the page, and the table screen shows Bust Out and Stack Count under each name. At the standard text size nothing changes.
  • Easier to use with a keyboard or a screen reader: a Skip to the Content link, a clear focus ring on each (i), one main heading on each page, Help's article titles as headings, and refusals on the Events page read aloud. Clearer words in many places: the payouts say Published (not Confirmed) and speak of publishing again, not of a new revision; My Results says "Place 3 of 12"; the late-entry pill says Open or Closed; the Seating tab says when moves still wait, and after the end it no longer offers Add a Table or Auto Balance Tables; after Reset the Clock to the Start on a running event, the clock card says "Press Start to run the clock again."; and buttons such as Close (in place of Dismiss), Reopen the Season, Invite Somebody, Download as a Spreadsheet (CSV) and Reverse the Rebuy. The browser tab names New Event, Edit, the Audit Log and Payouts, and the profile's last tab is called Delete Account.
  • Easier on a phone and fewer surprises: on the Results tab each prize and its Pay button are on a line under the player, so nothing is off the side of the screen; the Edit page has Save the Changes at the top beside Cancel too; on the Seating tab you choose a table's game in its list and then press Set the Game, as for every table; the game picker marks each game's usual limit with the word "usual" in place of a green edge that looked chosen; the line under the structure cards says where the event's levels start and why Generate Again starts elsewhere; on the Events page a refused Sign Up or Unregister shows under the event that you pressed; and for a seated player, the event's name and Open go to the levels, so Go to My Table is the one way to the table.
  • The Ranking page and My Results open faster in clubs with many events.

PokerSjef 0.53.0

  • Money can no longer be recorded on a finalized result, also when somebody presses Finalize at the same moment as a payment or a purchase.
  • Reset the Clock to the Start waits for a bust-out that is being saved at the same moment, so the event never goes back to Scheduled with a player out.
  • A prize for a player in a deal is refused when the prize pool changed after the deal, and a deal is refused while a player decides on a rebuy, for a player who is out, or when it gives more than the pool leaves.
  • While a deal stands, Unbust shows only for the players in the deal. For the others the sheet says why, and who can undo the deal.
  • Undo Approval says "This player won" only for the winner.
  • A profile picture, a club badge and a room clock picture must be uploaded in PokerSjef. A link to a picture on another website is refused.
  • A person whose signup for a private event was cancelled or voided no longer sees that event.
  • Help says how to undo a deal, the Out list says that an unbust returns the player to the seat that they left, and several names on screens now match the buttons and pages.
  • Payouts that are not published are called Provisional everywhere: the button is now Save as Provisional.
  • The league and season standings are worked out at most once a minute while an event runs, and at once when it ends. The room clock still shows the live points after every bust-out.
  • A press that is sent again counts only for the event and the person it was first sent for.
  • A browser shows pictures only from PokerSjef and from Google and Facebook profile pictures.

PokerSjef 0.52.0

  • On the Overview, the Clock card shows only the buttons that you can use now: Start alone before the start, no Back on the first level, no Resume during hand-for-hand, and no clock buttons when the event is over. Not Started, Paused or Hand-for-Hand is a pill at the top right of the card. The Hand-for-Hand pill says how hand-for-hand ends when you point at it or tap it.
  • The Status card on the Overview shows the state of the event as a pill at the top right, in the colour of the state. The (i) of End the Event is beside that button.
  • After Create, the Overview says "PokerSjef created the event."
  • After the last bust-out, the Winner's Photo window shows Take a Photo and Choose a Picture above the card, so that a phone shows them without scrolling.
  • Pay All Unpaid Prizes lists each player and the amount before you choose Cash or Vipps.
  • On the Results tab, a finalized result with every prize paid no longer has an empty column, and the Finalization card speaks of an unpaid prize only while one is unpaid.
  • When a player declines a rebuy at the desk and one player is left, the question says that this player wins the event, as Bust Out at the table does.
  • On the Seating tab, Remove the Table shows only on a table with nobody in its seats, and the line about closing a table reads "The 2 players fit at fewer tables".
  • The Publish the Payouts and Publish the Prizes windows ask their question once. On the Payouts page on a phone, Round Prizes To stays beside its box.
  • The desk suggests Add a Walk-In only for a player who cannot make an account. A new player can join with the event's invite link.
  • A private event has no invite link on the Registration tab or after Create: only the people signed up for it can see it, so the desk adds its players.
  • Undo Approval is no longer offered for the winner once an event is over, so the winner cannot be taken out of the result by mistake. After End the Event with several players still in, a player approved by mistake can still be taken out.
  • When the structure runs out and you add levels on the Edit page, the Clock card offers the step into the new level.
  • On a completed night, a reversed rebuy of the winner corrects the money, and the winner stays the winner. Before, the result could then not be finalized.
  • Close the Table works again while a player at that table has a move that is not made yet.
  • On the bubble, a bust-out on the last hand of hand-for-hand that arrives just after the final table forms now ties with that hand, also when Next Hand formed the final table.
  • When the owner removes a player record that never played, the first person on the waiting list of a running event gets its place.
  • A club change that is sent again after a slow answer no longer says that the record already exists when the first try worked.
  • The error log keeps no details of the database's rows, and the server's own records in it have a limit of their own, so they never push out the reports of the screens.
  • Before the start, the room clock shows the start time under the countdown, and Players Left shows once the clock runs. With the figures switched off, the start line still gives the number of entrants. Its payouts say "6 paid places".
  • A screen whose live connection cannot start tries again by itself, and updates every 20 seconds meanwhile.
  • The information strip of the room clock says the last level of late entry once.
  • On the table page, the note about bust-outs and withdrawals is the (i) of the Action column. The Moves card tells a player what happens, without a button that the player does not have, and the Help line says what Help explains for the reader.
  • On the Events page, On the Waiting List and Checked In are pills that explain themselves when you point at them or tap them.
  • The join window and the invite card say that the link makes you a member of the club.
  • On a season's page, Now, Upcoming, Past or Finished is a pill at the top right that explains itself when you point at it or tap it. On a league's page, how the league counts is the (i) on its name, and a finished league says so in its Finished pill.
  • The standings tables explain their order in the (i) of Rank, with only "Tap a player to see the events behind the points." under the table. The Ongoing pill of an event in a season or a league explains itself, and the league's events say Status, as the Events page does.
  • On My Results, How You Play says Win Rate, In the Money Rate and top-three finishes. The explanations of Your Standings and Money are in their (i).
  • The club's join links on the Members page and in Club Settings copy with one button. The link shows only when a copy fails, with what to do then.
  • The quick event says its finish time once. The event form shows the note about sponsored prizes only on a new event, the Edit page has no paragraph at its top, and the level sheet explains Blinds in its (i) only.
  • Club Settings explains its defaults in the (i) of Defaults for New Events. The profile has one (i) for First Name and Last Name.
  • A finished league or season no longer says three times that nothing changes, and Finish the League shows when every event of the league is finalized.
  • The Games page explains the families of games in the (i) of Family, and the note about limits shows to directors only.
  • Help explains the late-entry pills, where Revise the Payouts is, why a private event has no invite link, that payouts are published again after the prize pool changes, that the finalize removes signups who did not play, the start games after Reset the Clock, and why Unbust is refused after a paid prize or a shared win.
  • More messages from the server show in Norwegian, and a message when a page cannot load says what to do in plain words.
  • Before a bust-out on a hand of hand-for-hand, the question says that the players out on that hand share the points of their places as well as the prizes.
  • Reset the Clock to the Start takes the event back to Scheduled only while nobody is out, nobody decides on a rebuy, and no rebuy or add-on is recorded. After a rebuy, only the clock goes back.
  • While a deal is recorded, Unbust refuses a player who is not in the deal, and says what to do. On the Payouts page, Undo the Deal removes the deal: the prizes go back to the payouts of each place, and the audit log keeps the deal. Undo the Deal waits until a prize paid to a player in the deal is reversed.
  • The header of the room clock says the level and the state only while the final table is drawn. At other times, the line under the countdown and the Paused banner say them.
  • On the Results tab, the card shows the state of the event, not Provisional: Provisional is the word for a draft of the payouts only. While late entry is open, the state says why a place can move when you point at it or tap it.

PokerSjef 0.51.1

  • Every QR code (the invite card, the event poster and the club's join poster) has the PokerSjef crown in its middle, on a small white tile. Phones still read the code: it uses the strongest error correction, and the tile covers about a twentieth of it.

PokerSjef 0.51.0

  • The Seating tab no longer repeats the number of open tables under the tables, and the Status card on the Overview no longer explains how to copy the event.
  • On the Overview of an event that is over, the Tables card no longer asks you to open a table.
  • When you choose another club in the club menu on the page of an event, a season or a league, PokerSjef now opens the events of the club that you chose. Before, it opened the events of the old club.
  • The Results tab has one Results card: first the figures, then the finishing order. The status of the result is at the top right of the winner's card when there is one.
  • On the Registration tab, Invite Players is at the top right, so the invite link and its QR code are always near while you approve players. Add a Walk-In is now the last card, under Add a Club Player: use it only for a new player who cannot make an account. The invite card no longer shows the long link: Copy the Invite Link and Show a QR Code do the work.
  • During a break, the table screen and the room clock say once which level comes next, in the break line. Before, a second line under it said the same.
  • On the Results tab, the Provisional pill tells why the places can still change when you put the pointer on it or tap it. The lines about late entry, the Ranking page and private events are gone: the pill and the event's bar say them. A player who went out is "Busted", as on the Out list. The tab's first pill is now called Results, as its card is. When the payouts are not published, the Finalization card says it once, with its link.
  • On the Registration tab, a full field or a waiting list is said once, in the Field card. Add a Walk-In then offers only Add to the Waiting List, and its text is one sentence. After the event, the desk says that PokerSjef removes the players who never played when the result is finalized.
  • On the Seating tab, the Out card and Pending Moves say what to do in one line, with the rest under their (i). The line "You chose …" shows once. The Hand-for-Hand card keeps its explanation under its (i) until the field is one player from the money.
  • Only a director, the Floor or the winner reads about the winner's photo on the winner's card. The Overview shows "held for a move" in the seat key only while a move holds a seat.
  • The usual limit of a game is now underlined as well as green when you choose the games of a mixed event, so it does not show by its colour only.
  • On the Payouts page, a prize pool that changed after the published payouts is said once, with its new amount, on the revision's card. How PokerSjef rounds the prizes is in the (i) of Round Prizes To.
  • On the Payouts page and the sponsored prizes page, Confirmed or Provisional is now a pill at the top right of the revision's card, and it says what it means when you put the pointer on it or tap it. Revise the Payouts is under the table.
  • The average stack in big blinds (for example "325 BB") is on its own line under the average stack on the Payouts page, as on the Overview, so it no longer breaks over two lines.
  • On the Overview, the Seats figure no longer has a line such as "9 seated" under it.
  • When the database is slow to answer for a moment, PokerSjef now sends a change once more by itself before it shows an error. A change is never saved twice.
  • The database has an index for every link between its tables, so rare actions such as deleting an account stay fast as a club grows.

PokerSjef 0.50.1

  • On the Registration tab and the Overview tab, whether late entry is open now shows as one pill at the top right of Registered Players and of Players. Point at the pill, or tap it, to read until when late entry and rebuys stay open.

PokerSjef 0.50.0

  • The room clock shows two times beside the countdown, each with its own sign: the time since the start at the left, and the time to the next break, with the level it follows, at the right. On a narrow screen they stand under the countdown. The line under the countdown now shows only the level.
  • On the Results page on a phone, the You label stays beside your place. Before, it could drop under the number.
  • On the split room clock, the chips show once across the bottom of the screen when both events use the same chips. Before, each half showed the same row.
  • When the result of an event is finalized, the players who signed up but did not play are removed from it. One line in the audit log of the event names them. Events that are finalized already are cleared the same way.
  • The invite link of an event still makes a player a member of the club at once, but it now asks before it signs them up: Sign Up for This Event?, with the event's name, start and venue. Yes signs them up and opens the event, as before. No opens the Events page of the club, and they stay a member. A player who is already signed up goes straight to the event, with no question.
  • On a bad connection, a press at a table goes again by itself, up to two times, while its button shows busy: Bust Out, Next Game, Back, Hand Finished, Pause and Resume. The server does each press one time only, so a table never moves two games and a player never goes out twice. Before, the dealer had to press again.
  • Unbust and Undo the Withdrawal no longer move a player who was paid a prize to another place: reverse the prize payment first. After a shared win, Unbust says to undo the shared win first. Before, an Unbust after prizes were paid could pay out more than the prize pool.
  • A bust-out of the winner after the end of an event is refused.
  • On the bubble, a bust-out on the last hand of hand-for-hand that arrives just after the final table forms now ties with that hand, as it should.
  • Hand Finished on a table screen now waits for a Bust Out of that table that is still on its way, so the bust-out counts on that hand.
  • End Hand-for-Hand is refused when another person pressed Next Hand a moment before, so the clock never loses the time of a hand that nobody saw.
  • Undo the Game Change in the audit log is refused when the table changed its game meanwhile, so a table never goes back two games.
  • A check-in or an Unbust never gives a seat at a table that is closing, or a seat that a move holds.
  • When a place becomes free, the first person on the waiting list always gets it.
  • Payouts published again after a deal can no longer give out more than the prize pool, and a prize is not paid from payouts whose prize pool changed after they were published.
  • When two changes come to the server at the same moment, the server tries the second one again, so the message "Two changes collided" now shows much less often.
  • Next Game before the start of an event now says what is true after Reset the Clock to the Start.
  • Reset the Clock to the Start, before anybody is out, now also puts each table back on the game it started on: the first game, or the game that the Floor set or drew before the start.
  • During hand-for-hand, the minutes that each hand takes from the level now count in the time played, so Elapsed on the room clock moves with the level.

PokerSjef 0.49.1

  • On the room clock in a narrow window, for example half of a laptop screen, the level, the buttons, the date and the time now stay at the top right. A narrow laptop window also keeps the Split button and the club's sound, as only a phone loses them.
  • On pokersjef.com, the support email address now shows as itself on every page. Before, the host hid it behind a link that search engines reported as a broken page.

PokerSjef 0.49.0

  • On the Events page, an event with a shared win now says Shared Win in the Winner column, because several long names do not fit there. A press on it opens the winner's card, which names every player who shares the win.
  • The blind structures now always start level 1 with a small blind of one smallest chip and a big blind of two, for example 100/200 with 100 chips, in Balanced, Turbo, Slow Start and Casino. Before, a big starting stack started higher, for example 300/500 with 50,000 chips. A bigger stack now plays more levels, so the suggested length of the event is longer. You can still type another First Big Blind on the full form. Saved events keep their levels.
  • Slow Start never more than doubles the small bet of a limit game from one level to the next.

PokerSjef 0.48.0

  • The room clock can show two events side by side on one screen, for example a main event and a mixed games event on one projector: press Split at the top right and choose another event of today. Each half has its own sound, the voice says the name of the half first, one information strip at the bottom shows the lines of both events, and when one event ends, the other event fills the screen after 3 minutes. The chime and the voice are now two switches under one Sound button.
  • A new blind structure, Turbo, on the quick event and the full form: about 100 big blinds, and the blinds increase by about 60% at every level, so the night is shorter. Four structure cards show in two rows of two.
  • Balanced now climbs by its 40% at every level: it often made one level too many, so its steps were nearer 35%. Slow Start had the same small error. With the exact length below, some suggested nights are one to three levels shorter. Saved events keep their levels.
  • On the quick event and the full form, the length of a new event follows the structure until you type another, and it shows exactly, for example 5 h 40 min, not rounded up to the half hour. So the event gets exactly the levels of its structure, and a change of structure on the full form now changes the length too. You can type a length in hours, for example 6, or in hours and minutes, for example 5 h 30 min.
  • Under the structure cards, the event forms show the first blinds and how many big blinds the players start with, and the stack that a structure needs when the stack is much smaller.
  • On the Results page, players who share a place are listed by name.
  • A platform administrator who tests the app as another account no longer acts in the wrong name from another window or device: a page that did not see the test start or end loads again first.
  • Players who share a place, out on the same hand of hand-for-hand or after a shared win, now split the points of the places that they cover equally, as they already split the prizes. Before, each got the points of the better place.
  • When the last players of an event agree to share first place, a director records a shared win on the Results tab, after the event ends. Each of them then has first place and the win, and they split the points of the places that they share equally: if first place gives 50 points and second place 40, each gets 45. The winner’s card shows them all, with a face for each, and so do the room clock and the Events page. A director can undo it until the result is finalized.
  • Search engines now read the heading of the Help pages, the Events page and the Join a Club page, also before the app has loaded.

PokerSjef 0.47.4

  • On the Events page, a press on the winner's name opens the winner's card of that event, with Share, Copy and Save.
  • The winner's card has Share, Copy and Save on every screen that shows it. Share now opens the device's own share sheet on a computer too, Copy shows a short message at the foot of the screen, and Save keeps the card as a PNG picture, which is sharper.
  • The name of a saved file (the winner's card, or a list for a spreadsheet) has only basic letters: æ becomes ae, ø becomes o, and å, ä and ö become a and o. The other Nordic letters, also those of Icelandic and Sámi, become their basic letters too.
  • Every search finds a name with or without its Nordic letters: "Jorgen" finds Jørgen, "a" finds å, and "lordag" finds Lørdagspoker. This is so on the Events page, at the desk, in check-in, in Members, in a league's list of events, in the audit logs and in Help.

PokerSjef 0.47.3

  • In the Profile window, Sign-In Methods is now a tab of its own, so the Profile tab has only your names and your picture.

PokerSjef 0.47.2

  • Profile, Sign-In Methods no longer offers Join Another Facebook Account, because a person rarely has two Facebook accounts. Join Another Google Account stays.

PokerSjef 0.47.1

  • Two Google accounts, or two Facebook accounts, can now be joined: Profile, Sign-In Methods has Join Another Google Account and Join Another Facebook Account. When you join accounts, Google shows its list of accounts, so you can choose the other one.

PokerSjef 0.47.0

  • Reset the Clock to the Start now takes the event back to Scheduled when nobody is out yet, as before the start. An event's status says Scheduled, not Published.
  • Before an event starts, the Seating tab has Randomize Seats beside Auto Balance Tables. It gives every seated player a random seat, with the tables balanced. When the players deal themselves, a tick box keeps the dealer of each table in their seat. After the start, the button goes.

PokerSjef 0.46.1

  • During hand-for-hand, when the final table waits for the last tables to finish the hand, the Overview shows the hand-for-hand card right under its note, also on a phone.
  • On the Seating tab, when the players fit at fewer tables, the note about the table to close now comes first, and it says that Auto Balance Tables keeps all the tables.
  • In the Profile window on a phone held sideways, the foot of the list of sections fades while more sections are below it.

PokerSjef 0.46.0

  • Help now says that the label On the Waiting List shows beside an event before its day. On the day, your card at the top of the Events page shows it.
  • On the Events page, today's event no longer repeats your seat, Checked In or the waiting list on its row. The card at the top shows them, with what to do next.
  • On the Events page, an event that is over no longer offers Unregister to a player who signed up and did not play.
  • On pokersjef.com, the pictures of the desk and the Overview now show the app as it is today, in English and Norwegian.
  • In Norwegian, the desk's Places Left now reads Plasser igjen i feltet, so it no longer looks like Free Seats (Ledige plasser).
  • When a seat move is refused, the message now names the table once, for example "Table 3 is closed." In Norwegian it says Bord 3.
  • On a smaller room clock screen (1280 × 720 or 1366 × 768), the table cards now show the next level's amounts during a break.
  • Help now says that an event's link opens the page of the event.
  • Before the start, an event's link now opens the Structure page at its top. A phone then shows the note that you are signed up.
  • A dealer of the club who signs up to play with an event's link now also sees the note that they are signed up.
  • On an event day, the Events page again shows the list under Active Today when the club has archived or cancelled events, so its filter can show them again.
  • Several security and reliability improvements in the database.
  • A director can give a role only to a person who is already a member of the club.
  • An old event invite link, or the link of a finished event, now says that it does not work. Ask the club for a new link.
  • If your last sign-in on a device was more than 15 minutes ago, you sign in again before you join two accounts there.
  • PokerSjef now always asks before it connects a Google or Facebook sign-in to your account. The question shows the email address of both accounts.
  • If one event cannot be finalized automatically, the other events are still finalized.
  • After the desk adds a name for later or to the waiting list, Registered Players keeps every name and marks the new one.
  • When nobody can join, Add a Club Player and Add a Walk-In each show one sentence, with no list and no buttons that are off.
  • After the desk adds a club player that it found by name, the search is empty again. It no longer says that no club player matches that name.
  • The late approval box on the event form reads as a choice. The desk button is now Approve with a Reason, and the Floor's message says that only a director can approve a player now, with a reason.
  • When a member leaves, an account is deleted or a player record is removed, their places go to the first players on the waiting list.
  • Copy This Event makes a new event with no players. It no longer offers to sign up the players of the night.
  • The check-in card shows as soon as the club's check-in window opens, also the evening before a night that starts after midnight. An event of an earlier day that never started shows no card.
  • Before the start, the Overview says how many players have a seat. It no longer asks you to approve the players when they are seated.
  • When tables play different games, the Overview shows which tables play each game.
  • When all players fit at fewer tables, the Seating tab names the table to close.
  • If two people balance the tables or close a table at the same moment, PokerSjef now makes one set of moves.
  • The screen of a closed table says that it closed and where its players play now. It shows no blinds and no Shot Clock.
  • Hand-for-hand numbers its hands on from an earlier run. Players out in two runs of one event are not tied any more.
  • A bust-out keeps the hand that the table screen showed when the dealer pressed Bust Out. A slow table's bust-out stays tied with its hand.
  • If a bust-out forms the final table after every table finished its hand of hand-for-hand, hand-for-hand now ends, as it does at the last Hand Finished.
  • The hand-for-hand notes name the button that ends hand-for-hand, and a finished table says that the final table forms next.
  • The final table seat draw goes when the clock starts again. A later pause does not show it again, and the draw cannot be undone after that.
  • A Pause or a Resume at the moment a bust-out forms the final table now waits. It no longer fails with try again. A change to the structure at the same moment as a clock command also waits.
  • After a lost answer, a second bust-out or rebuy of the same player is recorded when the screen already shows the first one.
  • Before a break with no set length, the room clock says Next: a break, without minutes.
  • If the room clock stops with an error, it loads again by itself after a few seconds, at most once a minute.
  • Payouts and deals now use the prize pool as it is at that moment. If the pool changed, PokerSjef asks you to look again.
  • If the prize pool changed after the payouts were published, the Results page stops Pay, also when a deal is recorded.
  • Record a Deal reads chips such as 31,500. Each player's chips start from the last stack count, with its time. You can change them.
  • My Results ties only players who went out one after the other on one hand. Its prizes come from the published payouts, and tied shares add up exactly.
  • On an event night, PokerSjef works out the season and league standings again only when a result or the money changes. Ranking loads faster.
  • Season, league and My Results pages show each event's date in its own time zone. The month chart counts each event in that month.
  • If another person changes an event while you edit it, Save the Changes now tells you. It offers to load the newest version. A hand-for-hand step or the final table does not count as such a change.
  • Step 2 of the extended form opens with the blind levels made. Generate Again and Type the Levels Yourself stay.
  • The Edit page takes a start at any minute, so a copy that starts at 19:02 saves again.
  • The quick event suggests a start on the club's clock, also on a phone in another time zone.
  • An event opens faster and reads less from the server. A hidden tab reads nothing until you show it again, and the room clock reads less after each bust-out.
  • While your own command waits for its answer, the screen already shows the changes from other devices.
  • The app starts faster, and each page load and the Events page send fewer requests. The front page loads only when somebody opens it, and Norwegian readers download fewer texts first.
  • Players' phones download less in the background, nothing when the phone asks to save data, and no longer ask the server to move the clock on.
  • A page for the Floor or the directors tells other members at once that it is not for them.
  • Escape now closes only the (i) explanation, not the window behind it. You can move the pointer onto the explanation, and screen readers read it.
  • A tap on the name of a setting now goes to its field, not to its (i). Screen readers say the name and the explanation of each field and each tick box, also on the payouts form.
  • On a table screen, screen readers say the player's name with each Bust Out button.
  • After a question or a payment from a player's window, the focus goes back to the player's name or to Find a Player.
  • The menus and the choice buttons work better with the keyboard. Escape and a choice put the focus back on the menu button.
  • At the desk, screen readers read the seat notices and the same-name warnings. Each button in a player's row says the name of that player.
  • Screen readers read each seat square on the Overview tab.
  • When your device asks for less motion, pages jump to a place instead of scrolling smoothly.
  • The edges of the fields, the red buttons, the BREAK band and some grey texts are easier to see. The phone's tab bar marks the open page with a bar.
  • The buttons in the event bar are larger on a phone that you hold sideways.
  • On a phone that you hold sideways, the Profile window scrolls its list of sections. The top bar scrolls away, and messages stay above the tab bar.
  • On small phones, the event tabs show whole words, and the seats of a full table no longer cover each other.
  • Help now sends you to Find a Player to open a player's window. It says what the Seating tab shows.
  • Help says that you leave a club under Your Clubs in Profile. It names the buttons for templates.
  • The sign-in note and the Privacy page say what the event link and Sign-In Methods do now.
  • Clearer words for the Facebook email retry, and for the free period in Profile, on the front page and on the Pricing page.
  • The Norwegian help uses the words on the screens, for example the desk buttons, skranken and spillerpost.
  • The Norwegian uses one word for one thing, for example mobil and innsjekking.
  • Each public page has a search title and description that fit in a search result, in English and Norwegian.

PokerSjef 0.44.4

  • After a new member joins with the club's link, the Welcome window stays again. In 0.44.3 it closed by itself right after the join.

PokerSjef 0.44.3

  • A member who opens the club's join link now goes straight to the club's Events page, without the Join a Club window.
  • An event's link now opens the event itself, with the note that you are signed up, also when you were already signed up for it.
  • On the room clock's Moves list, each move now stays on one line on a phone. If a line is too narrow, the room clock writes the old seat short (T4 · S1). If it is still too narrow, it writes the new seat short too.
  • A seat is now written with a dot between the table and the seat everywhere, for example Table 1 · Seat 8.

PokerSjef 0.44.2

  • On the room clock's Moves list, the arrows and the new seats now stand in one column at the right. The new seats are then easier to read.
  • On the event's Overview, the clock card is now called Clock. The event's name is already at the top of the page.

PokerSjef 0.44.1

  • On the room clock's Find Your Seat list, the table and seat numbers are now bold and white, as the names are. A seat then reads from the back of the room.

PokerSjef 0.44.0

  • On the Events page, today's events now show once, on the Active Today card. The list under it is now called Upcoming and Past Events. Its filter offers Scheduled in place of Scheduled and Ongoing, because a running event is always on Active Today.
  • On the Active Today card, a line of the event's facts no longer ends with a dot when the facts go onto two lines.
  • On the event's Overview, the Status card no longer repeats the number of players from the Players card beside it.
  • On the Seating tab, each table's heading now says how many players sit there and how many seats are free, as on the Overview. The second line under the table is gone.
  • On the Seating tab, when no table can close, the page now says why. A table can close only when the other tables have a seat for every player.
  • In the profile, Sign-In Methods no longer explains how to connect another sign-in when Google and Facebook are both connected already.
  • In the profile's Language tab, the automatic date format shows only the date it writes. It no longer names a country whose own choice writes dates another way.

PokerSjef 0.43.0

  • When Facebook does not give PokerSjef the email address, the sign-in card now offers Try Facebook Again, which asks for the address once more. The card also says that Continue with Google works.
  • The card for an account with no club, and the Subscription tab, now say each thing once.

PokerSjef 0.42.0

  • The administrator's Review a Club page now shows each club's logo beside its name.
  • Profile's Subscription tab now says that PokerSjef is free until 1 January 2027 and then becomes a subscription, with a link to the Pricing page.
  • Profile now has Sign-In Methods. Connect your other Google or Facebook account there, and both sign-ins open the same account, so you never get a second one.
  • If you already have two accounts, connect one from the other: you sign in to both, choose which account to keep, and its clubs and results come from both. Nobody can join an account without signing in to it.
  • A new member who signs in with another Google or Facebook account on the same phone is now asked whether the two accounts are theirs, and can join them the same way. The screens a new member lands on also point to Sign-In Methods.

PokerSjef 0.41.0

  • When something goes wrong on a screen, the app now sends a short report of what failed, without your account, name or email address. Problems on an event night are then found and fixed without anybody having to report them.

PokerSjef 0.40.1

  • A name from Google or Facebook that starts with a small letter now gets its capitals when the person signs up: "francois mouton" becomes "Francois Mouton". The players who already have such a name get the capitals now, unless they chose their own display name.
  • A Google account without a photo now shows the player's initials, such as "KN" for Kari Nordmann, in place of the one letter that Google draws.

PokerSjef 0.40.0

  • On the Seating page, the tables now come first. The list of players in play moved into Find a Player, at the top of every event page. It lists every player with the seat and the money, and a name opens all of that player's actions, Bust Out and Rebuy too.
  • In the seat map, each name has two lines, the first name and then the rest, so two players with the same first name are easy to tell apart.

PokerSjef 0.39.1

  • On the Seating page, the list of players who are out now shows each player's place, as the Results tab does. It showed the order in which they went out, so the first player out was "#1".

PokerSjef 0.39.0

  • Players can sign up in the app until late entry closes, also after the event starts. The event's QR code now works during late entry too.
  • A club's instant join link or QR code now joins the club at once, and an event's link also signs the player up at once. Nobody presses Join any more.
  • On the Events page, the event's name opens the event, as Open does. The map pin beside it no longer takes taps meant for the name.
  • Before an event starts, every table stays on its first game: Next Game works only after the clock starts, on the table screen and on the Seating page. At the last event, an early press put one table on the wrong game.
  • After Next Game and then Back, a table on its first game no longer offers Back to the last game of the mix, a game it never played.
  • At the desk, the note that says a player's place on the waiting list now follows the list: the place moves up when a player before them gets a place, and the note goes when they get one.
  • In the full event form, a rebuy or an add-on that you switch on now starts at one per player. Before, an event made from the quick form, a template or a freezeout could get add-ons with no limit.
  • A player who opens the address of a private event that they did not sign up for now reads that it can be a private event. Before, it said that they were not a member of the club.
  • The app loads a little faster on a first visit, and a phone or a television that shows the clock for hours uses less power.
  • Signing in with Facebook on a phone: if Continue on Facebook's page was pressed twice and the sign-in came back broken, PokerSjef now starts it again by itself, and it finishes.
  • A break is easy to see now: on the room clock and on the table screen, BREAK shows in large letters on a blue band, with a blue frame round the screen.
  • The desk's list of club players on the Registration page now updates at once when somebody joins the club.
  • The owner's Remove from the Club now deletes a player record without an account in full when the player never played: the record, every signup and the name in the log.
  • When the players deal themselves, the player in Seat 1, or in the seat closest to it, can bust players, change the game and count stacks at their own table, while they sit there. The seat map on the Seating page marks that seat as the dealer's. With dedicated dealers nothing changes.
  • A person with two accounts, one from Google and one from Facebook, can join them from Profile, Danger Zone: sign in to the account to keep, press Join Another Account, then sign in with the other one and confirm. Both sign-ins then open one account, with all its clubs, roles and results.

PokerSjef 0.38.1

  • A custom formula now uses the same letters as the other scoring systems: p and N are the entries and r is the final place. So the formula of any system can be copied into it and gives the same points. The money and the purchases have plain names, such as rebuys, prize and pool.

PokerSjef 0.38.0

  • A new scoring system for seasons and leagues, Fullt Hus: 100 × ln((entries + 1) ÷ place). The points go down slowly from place to place.
  • A season or a league can now score with your own formula, typed like a Blind Valet formula, for example log((p + 1) / f) * 100. It can use the players, the entries, the place, the buy-in, the prize pool, the paid places, and each player's prize, rebuys, add-ons and money paid in that event. The example table shows the points as you type.

PokerSjef 0.37.0

  • PokerSjef has a new logo: a crown of three playing cards on a band, in our green. It is in the app, on the browser tab, on the home-screen icon and on the preview picture of a shared link, and it stays sharp at every size.

PokerSjef 0.36.0

  • When you send the club's instant join link or an event's invite link in Messenger, WhatsApp or another chat, the chat now shows the club's name and logo. An event's link also shows the event's name, its day and start, and its venue. A link with only the club code still shows the PokerSjef picture. The logo picture is made when a director next opens Club Settings or the event's Registration tab.
  • The Members page no longer shows email addresses in its lists, of members or of people who ask to join. A director still sees a member's address in the member's window (the pencil) and in the CSV file, and the search still finds a member by it.
  • On a phone, a long name in the Members list now uses two lines instead of being cut after the first name.

PokerSjef 0.35.4

  • On a phone, when you scroll the levels sideways, a break's line, the close of late entry, the colour-up note and the planned finish now stay at the left edge, so you can read them whole. This is on the Structure tab and in the level sheet of the Edit page.
  • When the payouts are published, the Results tab now lists every place from first to last, with the prize of each paid place. A place shows the player's name when a player finishes in it. The players still in are on one line above the list.

PokerSjef 0.35.3

  • On a phone, the level number on the Structure tab now stays readable when you scroll the table sideways, also on the level that is played now.

PokerSjef 0.35.2

  • The Structure tab no longer lists the games under each band, so the bands stay narrow, as on the Edit page.
  • The Structure tab has a new column, Starts, with the time of day when each level starts. Before the start, it counts from the planned start. While the clock runs, it counts from the clock.

PokerSjef 0.35.1

  • The Structure tab now shows the levels in the same bands as the level sheet: Stud, Limit, then the bets that stud and limit share, then No Limit.

PokerSjef 0.35.0

  • In the level sheet, the Limit columns now come before the bets that stud and limit share. The box that sets the ante for every stud level now says Player Ante, Stud Ante or Varied, so it takes less space.
  • A new club now starts with a chip set called Club chips: red 100, yellow 500, white 1,000, blue 5,000, orange 25,000 and brown 100,000. It is the club's default set. A director can change it, or add more sets, in Club Settings.
  • The level sheet now has a Blinds choice above it: Automatic or Manual. In Manual, PokerSjef never changes the amounts you typed. A game that you add gets empty columns, which you type or fill with Fill from the Base. A base that you type still fills its row in both. An event with blinds typed by hand opens in Manual.
  • When you remove every game of an event and add other games, the blinds you typed now stay as they were. Before, the sheet filled them again from the bases.
  • You can now move the planned finish. Its row in the level sheet has Move Up and Move Down, and Use the Calculated Finish takes it back. The levels below it are the spare levels, and the time when the event finishes, the number of levels and the room clock follow it.

PokerSjef 0.34.1

  • While the clock runs, the Edit page can now add a break after the level that is being played. The level itself stays as it is, and the break starts when the level ends. Only the levels that are over keep the + Break button off.
  • The Edit page of a finished event no longer shows the structure warnings or the Add a Level button, because the levels of a finished event are fixed.

PokerSjef 0.34.0

  • The table page now lists every seat of the table in order. An empty seat shows Empty and a closed seat shows Closed, so the dealer sees where the gaps are.
  • On the room clock, Find Your Seat now has a line between its columns, so each column is easier to read from across the room.
  • When rebuys and add-ons close, the strip along the bottom of the room clock no longer shows their price. It says that late entry and rebuys are closed.
  • The table page no longer shows a note when a new player sits down at the table. The dealers know the rule.
  • In the last 90 seconds of a level, the dealer's note now gives the blinds and bets of the next level, or says that a break follows. It no longer shows the time again, because the clock shows it.
  • The event form now warns when a blind or a bet is lower than at the level before. That is almost always a typing mistake. The warning names the level and the column.
  • Record a Deal now has an ICM button beside Equal Split and Chip Chop. Type the chips of each player. ICM then calculates each player's share from the chips and the published prizes. You can change each amount before you record the deal.

PokerSjef 0.33.2

  • The address field of a venue no longer leaves a large empty space under it, and Google's suggestions show right under the field again.

PokerSjef 0.33.1

  • Adding and editing a venue is clearer: first the address, with Google's suggestions, then the venue name that the players see. Editing a venue now searches Google for the address too.
  • A venue's map link opens the address by itself only when the address has a house number. Otherwise it searches for the venue's name with the address, so a place on a long street is found again.

PokerSjef 0.33.0

  • A venue that is only a street address, such as a player's home, now gets a name of its own when you add it, for example Ola's House. The screens show the name, and the map still opens the address. A street address chosen from Google now keeps the street and the town together. To change a venue's name, press Edit beside it in Club Settings.

PokerSjef 0.32.1

  • The copy of a Facebook picture now takes the picture in the size that Facebook gives, with one request. The note for 0.32.0 is corrected: the copy is not sharper than Facebook's picture.

PokerSjef 0.32.0

  • PokerSjef now keeps its own copy of the picture of a player who signs in with Facebook. Facebook's link to the picture stops working some weeks after the sign-in, and the player then showed initials. The copy is made after each Facebook sign-in. The privacy page says so.

PokerSjef 0.31.0

  • On the Members page, the owner can now remove a player who has no account, for example a test name: open the player with the pencil and press Remove from the Club. The player is no longer on the club's lists, and the events that they played keep their name.
  • On the Events page, an event you signed up for shows only the Unregister button. The Signed Up label and its (i) are gone. The waiting list and Checked In labels stay.

PokerSjef 0.30.2

  • On an iPhone, Continue with Google works again inside Messenger, Facebook and Instagram. The sign-in card now warns only on an Android phone, where Google does not let anybody sign in inside these apps. Continue with Facebook still comes first inside them.

PokerSjef 0.30.1

  • The club's picture behind the room clock now shows whole on every screen: it fits inside the room clock, centred, and is never cut off. The preview in Club Settings shows it the same way.

PokerSjef 0.30.0

  • The Events page now gets one page of ten events at a time from the server. The search and the filter still look through all the club's events, so the page stays fast as the club's history grows.
  • The blind calculator now adds two spare levels after the planned finish, in the quick event and the extended form. If an event runs late, the clock goes on with them and does not stop. "Finishes at about" still gives the planned finish, and the levels show where it is. With Slow Start, the spare levels climb about one and a half times a level, for example 10,000, 15,000, 25,000. Events made before keep their levels.
  • The room clock, the table's page, the Structure tab and the event form count only the planned levels. On a spare level, the room clock and the table's page say so, for example "Level 14 · Spare Level".
  • In Club Settings, the chip sets' Edge Spots heading has no (i) any more. It ran over the Value heading.
  • The sign-in card is shorter: the sentence about the terms of use and the note about the change to the privacy page are gone. The links to the privacy page, the terms of use and Help stay.
  • Open event screens get their live updates as a broadcast from the database. This takes a large load off the database. If the broadcast does not work on a screen, that screen uses the earlier way by itself.

PokerSjef 0.29.0

  • In the extended event form, Seats per Table, Dealer Type and Players at the Final Table keep their width when the note about the final table shows. Before, the three fields became narrow while you typed.
  • The winner's "You Won" card on the Events page follows the server's clock, not the phone's.
  • A club with more than 1,000 members or player records sees all of them in Members and at the desk.
  • When a club saves a new picture of another file type, or takes its clock background away, the old file is removed. A deleted club's pictures go with it.
  • The website has a page, /licenses.md, with the licences of the open-source software in PokerSjef.
  • Behind the scenes, a tidy-up of the code: old parts that nothing used are gone, and some repeated parts are shared. Nothing else changes on screen.

PokerSjef 0.28.0

  • The sign-in card shows the PokerSjef name and what it is. It no longer shows the email and password sign-in. It says that continuing accepts the terms of use, with links to the terms and the privacy page.
  • A phone that is not signed in shows only the PokerSjef name in the top bar.
  • Fields no longer make an iPhone zoom in.
  • A phone can put PokerSjef on its home screen with its name and icon. It still opens in the browser.
  • In Norwegian, names sort with Æ, Ø and Å last.
  • Initials on a face use the first and the last name, as on the winner's card.
  • An event's invite link now names the event in the join window: its name, its day and start time, and its venue.
  • A player who opens an invite link before signing in sees the invite note on the sign-in card, not a request for a club code.
  • A shared invite link keeps its own address in Facebook and Messenger, and its preview speaks to a player.
  • The join window opens at once and says that it is finding the event. A deleted event, a failed search and a failed signup each say what to do. A tap beside the window does not close an invite, and Back brings a closed invite back.
  • "You are signed up" is green, says when check-in opens, and goes when you have checked in.
  • The invite card on the Registration tab shows the link, says when a copy fails, and has Share the Link on a phone. A new event's Overview links to it.
  • An event's invite card can make a new invite link. The old link and its QR code stop working at once.
  • The invite card prints a poster of the event's QR code with its name, day, start and venue.
  • The seat card's Clear Check-In is now Undo My Check-In, a small button under its note.
  • The signup labels on the Events page use the desk's words: Signed Up, Checked In, On the Waiting List.
  • The seat card and the signup labels on the Events page have icons. The room clock and the desk show a trophy icon for the winner, not an emoji.
  • More icons beside the words: the sidebar, How to Play, each event's day, venue and players, and a lock on a private event. The (i) notes are larger.
  • The Games icon shows one card behind the other, with no line across the front card.
  • On some phones held sideways, Find a Player at the top of an event no longer runs over Manage.
  • The Events page shows the search and the filter when a club has six events or more.
  • The Subscription tab says that everything is free at this time.
  • On a table's page, the phone's back gesture closes the bust-out question and the dealer stays on the table.
  • A player's table page links to the player guide and says You Are Out with the place. The Tables tab opens the player's own table.
  • The table's page shows three quiet reminders under the blinds for whoever deals. The first says who posts the small blind and acts first when two players are left in a game with blinds. The second shows a new player at a seat for five minutes after a late entry or a move. That player gets no cards between the small blind and the button. The third shows the next level or the break in the last 90 seconds.
  • A new Shot Clock button on the table's page gives a player on the clock 25 seconds, then a 5-second countdown. It runs on the dealer's phone only.
  • The desk reads the club's player list again only when the event's players change, not after every action. This saves the service's allowance on a busy check-in.
  • After a phone comes back from another app, or the club Wi-Fi comes back, the buttons work again at once. Before, Bust Out, Hand Finished and the clock buttons could stay grey for up to 20 seconds.
  • The room clock catches up at once if it misses a change. Before, it could wait up to five minutes.
  • A new display name now shows on open event screens at once, not at the next bust-out.
  • A new profile picture now shows on open event screens at once, as a new name does.
  • Event screens load the players and their names much faster on big events.
  • An open event screen now waits until its live link to the server is ready before it says that it is live, so it misses no change at the start.
  • During hand-for-hand, the final table now ends hand-for-hand when it forms at the last Hand Finished. The clock stays paused, so every screen shows the new seats and the console offers Undo. Press Resume when the players sit. A player who busts out at the final table after the draw is not tied with the bubble hand. While a table still plays the hand, End Hand-for-Hand asks first, because a bust-out at that table would not be tied.
  • During hand-for-hand, when a hand uses up the level's time, the next hand is played at the next level. The clock stays paused. Before a break, the clock waits at 0:00 until hand-for-hand ends.
  • Hand-for-hand refuses a Hand Finished or Next Hand press from an out-of-date page, so no hand is skipped.
  • The Edit page says when the event finishes from its own levels and breaks. For a mix with only fixed-limit and stud games, the summary of Generate Again names the bets, not blinds that no game uses.
  • The event forms warn when no level follows the planned finish, and when a level is more than double the one before.
  • On the Results tab, the note that a new player moves the places goes away once late entry closes.
  • On the Results tab, a director can swap two players who went out one after the other when the desk recorded them in the wrong order. A reason is kept in the log. This is not possible during hand-for-hand or after the result is finalized.
  • Record a Deal offers Equal Split and Chip Chop. They fill the amounts from the chips you type, rounded to the event's cash unit.
  • In the season and league standings, a tap on a player shows each event behind their points: the place, the entries, the points and whether it counts.
  • Help is easier to read. Its first page is for new players: what PokerSjef is, your first event in six steps, and a card for each guide. Each guide (players, dealers, the desk and the Floor, directors, club setup) has a page of its own, where each topic is a card that opens with a tap. Help links sent before still open the right place.
  • Help has a search box that finds articles in every guide, also when you use another word for the same thing (bust, late reg, buyin, re-buy, seat).
  • The Player Guide's articles stand under four headings, with a link to each at the top.
  • Every guide prints with all its articles open and without the app's bars, from Print This Guide.
  • A new Help article explains SB, BB, BBA, the player ante, the stud ante, the bring-in and the bets.
  • The club's owner sees "Your Guide" on the Club Setup Guide.
  • Help now matches the screens: Undo My Check-In, the new signup labels, signing in with Google or Facebook, and the hand-for-hand move to the next level.
  • The Games Guide has a page for H.O.R.S.E. and for the 8-Game Mix.
  • The Payouts and Structure pages link to their Help articles.
  • The public website has a What's New page: every version of PokerSjef with its date and its changes, newest first. The Norwegian page shows the changes in English and says so.
  • Two new pages on the public website: How PokerSjef Handles Money (PokerSjef records the money and never takes or holds any) and Privacy and Security (a short summary that links the privacy page).
  • Five short guides on the public website: a mixed-game event, a league or a season, late entry and the prize pool, hand-for-hand and ties at the bubble, and chip sets and colour-ups.
  • A free payout calculator on the public website calculates the prizes as PokerSjef does, rounded to the cash unit, with no sign-in.
  • The green chip with a spade is now the mark everywhere: on the browser tab, on a phone's home screen, on the page for an address that does not exist, and on the picture that a chat shows with a PokerSjef link. That picture no longer says "night".
  • The texts about closing a club, the Player Info line and the privacy page no longer name the private notes, which are gone.
  • Deleting an account stays quick as more clubs join: it looks only in the account's own clubs.
  • Behind the scenes, a role is kept for the whole club only, as roles have worked since 29 September. Nothing changes on screen.
  • Database tidy-ups: old place-search counts go after 14 days, and the event commands always check what the screen last read. It includes privacy and security fixes.
  • Behind the scenes, the database no longer keeps three functions, two columns and three permissions that nothing used, and the app no longer carries code, styles and Norwegian texts that no screen showed. Nothing changes on screen.
  • The printed guide for the desk follows the app again, with the final table during hand-for-hand and the director's rebuy past the limit.

PokerSjef 0.27.0

  • The Live label at the top left explains itself: point at it or tap it. Each state (Live, Delayed, Reconnecting, Offline) says what it means and when the last update came. The (i) beside it is gone.
  • An open screen asks for each change in one request, not one request for each part of the event (the players, the seats, the money and so on). This uses less of the service's allowance. Nothing changes in what you see or do.
  • During hand-for-hand, the final table waits until every table has finished the hand. Before, the first bust-out that brought the field to the final table size drew the new seats at once, while another table still played the hand. Now the draw comes when the last table presses Hand Finished, or when the floor presses Next Hand Anyway or ends hand-for-hand. Players out on the same hand are still tied.
  • The note is gone: from Add a Walk-In on the Registration tab, from the player window, and from Join a Club (the note to the director). Nobody used it. To tell two players with the same name apart, type names that differ, for example with the first letter of the surname. Players choose their own display name in their profile. The notes that were kept are deleted.
  • A new account shows the player's full name, as on their Google or Facebook account, not the first name and the first letter of the surname. Accounts that still had that short name now show the full name too, also in their results and standings. A player who wants another name changes it in their profile. A name of more than 40 characters stays short.

PokerSjef 0.26.0

  • An open screen uses much less of the service's data allowance. Every five minutes, and when you come back to the page, it asks one small question ("did I miss a change?") instead of reading the whole event again. It reads everything only when it missed something. The clock and the live updates work as before.

PokerSjef 0.25.0

  • PokerSjef uses React Router 8, the newest version of the software that moves you from page to page. Nothing changes in what you see or do.
  • PokerSjef connects to its database with Supabase's new kind of access keys. Supabase stops the old keys at the end of 2026. Nothing changes in what you see or do.
  • At a club, everybody on the club's Wi-Fi shares one internet address. Up to 150 sign-ins every 5 minutes from one address are now possible, not 30, so a full room can sign in at once.

PokerSjef 0.24.1

  • A published payout revision keeps the entries it was worked out from, beside its players. The Payouts page names them: "8 paid places and a prize pool of 23,000 kr, from 47 entries: 41 players and 6 rebuys." A revision from before this change names its players only.

PokerSjef 0.24.0

  • Players' phones download less: after the first page, a player's phone fetches only the screens a player opens (about half of what it fetched before), and the front page fetches no app screen at all. The Floor, the dealers and the directors still get every screen ahead.
  • A director can record a rebuy or an add-on past its limit, with a reason: Rebuy Past the Limit, Add-On Past the Limit and Bust Out and Rebuy Past the Limit, in the player's window. The audit log shows the reason. The Floor sees why the desk refuses the purchase. The purchases still close with late entry, and none goes past its limit during hand-for-hand.
  • The Payouts page and Club Settings now ask "Leave Without Saving?" before a link, a menu, another tab, the browser's Back button or a reload loses what you typed: the payouts or the prizes, a deal, the club's name, a venue, the pictures, the room clock, the defaults and a chip set. After Save, nothing asks. Another chip set's button also asks before it drops the changes to the set on show.
  • On the Payouts page, the prizes you are typing stay open when another screen publishes a revision, with the note about it, and the boxes wait while a save is on its way.
  • The privacy page says how long PokerSjef keeps the record of each change: two years. The sign-in card links to the change.
  • Help and the table screen's (i) note say when an orbit is complete at a stud table: move the dealer button one seat after each hand in the stud games too, as casino mixed games do.
  • When a director deletes an event, every screen that has it open says at once that the event does not exist any more, the room clock too, and stops asking for it.
  • The audit log keeps the records of the last two years. Each night, PokerSjef deletes the older records. It never deletes results, money records, payouts or standings.
  • A visitor who is not signed in can no longer read event, player or club data from the database. No screen needed it.
  • The jobs that move the clocks on, end an administrator's review and end an event left running are now one job every minute. This makes less work for the database.
  • A rebuy now counts as an extra entry for the league and season points and for the paid places. Each player still scores once, for their final place, and an add-on is not an entry. Seasons and leagues that are not finished count the rebuys of all their events, also the events already played. Finished seasons and leagues keep their points. The Payouts page shows the entries beside the players, and the scoring settings no longer have the Count Rebuys in the Field Size switch.
  • When you raise the expected players, the new places go to the players on the waiting list first, in their order. While players wait, a walk-in or a club player added at the desk joins the end of the waiting list, and the desk shows the player's place. When the desk approves a player from the waiting list into a full field, the question says how many players wait before them.
  • A league can be finished only when every one of its events is finalized, also the events not played yet. A league with no event cannot be finished.
  • On the night, Open on the Events page takes a player who is still in to their seat: the table, the seat and the game there. A player who is out, and a member who did not play, still see the results.
  • The server now checks the starting stack and the rebuy and add-on chips against the event's chip set, as the event forms do.
  • The browser's Back and Forward buttons now ask "Leave Without Saving?" on the event forms, as the links and the menus already did. Stay keeps the form as you left it. The extended form that the quick event opens also asks, because nothing is kept until you press Create.
  • The pages of the app download less when they open: the front page's text now comes only with the front page. Each open screen's check for a new version of PokerSjef also downloads less.
  • In search results and link previews, the public pages' titles and descriptions now say "poker tournament" ("pokerturnering" in Norwegian). The pages themselves still say "event".
  • On a busy night every open screen stays live with less traffic: each action reaches a screen as one small message instead of several, and the database does less work for each screen.
  • Every window (adding a player, late entry, a bust-out, a withdrawal, the player sheet, a payment) closes with Escape, keeps the keyboard inside it and gives it back when it closes.
  • Typed amounts are read the same way everywhere: "1 500" is 1,500 kr and "150,50" is exact. An amount such as "1,500" asks again instead of becoming 1.50 kr.
  • The Payouts page offers no more paid places than there are players so far, and says why.
  • The quick event shows its finish in the club's time, as its start.
  • The checks that decide whether an event is over, closed or live are the same on every screen and on the server: an archived event counts as over on the Seating tab, Undo is not offered on a cancelled event, and Complete the Event shows only on an event that is still live.
  • PokerSjef is built on the newest versions of the software it uses (React 19, React Router 7, Vite 8 and the tools that test it). It includes the security fixes of those versions. Nothing changes in what you see or do.
  • Moving between the events list, an event and the other pages is faster. The club column, your clubs and your profile stay on the screen and do not load again.
  • During play, the pages with the clock do less work: each second only the time changes, not the full page. This helps a dealer's phone and the Floor's tablet through a long night.
  • The player window downloads only for the dealers, the Floor and the directors, who use it, so the first page opens sooner for everybody else.
  • PokerSjef in Norwegian opens faster: the first page waits for about half the texts it waited for before, and fetches them at the same time as the app. Each page's own texts come with that page.
  • An event made from a template always records which template it came from, also when a weak connection makes the phone send the request twice. Only one of the club's own templates can be named.
  • In Club Settings, the example under the rake or fee uses the same calculation as the events, so it never shows a fee larger than the buy-in.
  • Whether a season is running, and the dates offered for a new season, follow the club's calendar, not the device's. Near midnight, a phone in another time zone could show a season as not yet started or already over.
  • When the club's chip sets cannot be read for a moment, the chip set editor says so and offers Try Again. Before, it offered a new set, and saving it added a second one.
  • After one failed read, the banner of a test as another account, or of an administrator's review, shows again on the next page instead of staying hidden until a reload.
  • The start of an event is the club's time, wherever the phone or computer that makes it is: on the quick event, the full form and Copy This Event. Before, the quick event used the device's own time zone, so a night made from abroad could start at the wrong hour. When the device is in another time zone, a note under the start names the club's.
  • An event whose clock ran out at the last level ends by itself 3 hours later, when nobody has acted on it in that time. It is then Completed, and a director finalizes the result, or it finalizes itself 24 hours later when nothing is in the way.
  • An update of PokerSjef no longer waits for an event that nobody has acted on for 3 hours.
  • Review a Club, in the administrator's Profile, shows ten clubs a page, as the Members page does. The search still looks through every club.
  • When a level ends, the screens that ask the server to start the next one no longer wait for each other. Thirty phones at a level end are as quick as one, and the clock can never get stuck behind a bust-out.
  • The room clock draws the whole screen again only when something on it changes, not four times a second. The countdown runs on its own, so a room television or a TV stick keeps a smooth clock through a long night.
  • Before the start, the room clock says "Entrants" for the players approved so far. When the screen loses the network, it says so in plain sentences.
  • Each page names itself in the browser tab, for example "Registration · Poker night 3 October". With several tabs open you can tell them apart.
  • A new page opens at its top. Back still returns to where you were.
  • The connection label says "Delayed" when a screen has had no news for a while, and its (i) says what to do: wait for Live, then make the change.
  • The club card shows "Club code" before the code, and the club's audit tab is called Audit Log, as the event's is.
  • Payouts keep the amounts you type. After Save as Draft, typed amounts came back as rounded percentages, so Publish could have published other prizes. Unsaved changes also stay when another screen publishes, and the publish question names the prizes.
  • Hand-for-hand is safer: a late Hand Finished or a second Next Hand press is refused instead of moving on a hand, and hand-for-hand waits until late entry closes and the prize pool is final.
  • Chip counts typed as "1.5" are refused instead of read as 15 chips. A rebuy or an add-on is never recorded past the event's own limits.
  • Prizes can be paid only from published payouts or a deal, never from a draft.
  • The Edit page opens with the event's own minutes per level, breaks and structure, and after a change offers Save with These Levels first, so the real levels are never replaced by mistake.
  • On the event form, the rebuy and add-on price and chips follow the buy-in and the starting stack until you type them. Negative or part amounts, and stacks the chips cannot make, are refused.
  • The kind of prizes cannot change once the desk has a record. An event with sponsored prizes can again change to a prize pool or a free event before that.
  • The event forms ask "Leave Without Saving?" before any link, menu or reload loses what you typed.
  • Many new (i) notes explain the screens for first-time players and staff: check-in, the waiting list, private events, the standings columns, the undo actions, payouts and the table screen.
  • A league or season can be finished only when its period is over and every event in it is finalized. Finalizing an event checks that nothing changed in the meantime.
  • After the event is over, the final table draw can no longer be undone.
  • A screen whose connection drops never says a command was not sent when the server did it. A deleted event says that it does not exist any more and stops trying to load.
  • The events list reads only your own clubs, so it stays quick as more clubs join.
  • The Floor sets a table's game; a dealer advances it after the orbit, as the roles table says.
  • Moving a player at the desk, unbusting and checking in always pick the seat on the server; the screen cannot choose a seat at a closed table.
  • Help is rebuilt: Start Here at the top, then a guide for players first (sign in, join the club, sign up, check in, find your seat, results), then guides for dealers, the desk and the Floor, directors, club setup, seasons and leagues, and roles, with pictures of the real screens. The sign-in card, the Join Your Club card, the signed-up notice, the desk and the table screen link to their part of Help.
  • A new public website for clubs that do not know PokerSjef yet: the front page, Features, Mixed Games, Pricing (free for every club until 1 January 2027, then a subscription), About (based in Norway, the data in Stockholm), comparisons with Tournament Director and Blind Valet, and a page for each standard poker game, in English and Norwegian, with real screenshots. Search engines can read every page.

PokerSjef 0.23.0

  • While the platform administrator reviews a club as its Owner, the menu and Profile, Your Clubs say Owner, not Director. Your Clubs has no Leave for a club under review, and Player Info never shows a review as a club role.
  • Club pages stay quick as more clubs join: the database finds the same answers with less work. Nothing changes in what anybody can see or do.
  • A platform administrator no longer sees or acts in clubs they are not a member of. Profile, Admin, Review a Club lists every club; the administrator chooses one and the role to enter it as (Owner, Director, Floor, Dealer or Player), with a reason, and has that role's rights there until the review ends. A banner shows the review, and the club's audit log records it.
  • The card of a signed-up player no longer repeats what its I'm Here, Check In button says.
  • The owner can transfer the club to another director, who becomes the owner. Transfer the Club and Close the Club are one card at the bottom of Club Information: it starts on Transfer, both ask for the club's name, and closing asks whether you would rather transfer the club.
  • At the desk, each registered player has Approve and Seat and a red Unregister. Unregister sends the player back to the club list, under Add a Club Player. There is no list of voided players any more, and the player's name on that list is no longer a button.
  • A player who checked in and then unregisters, or is unregistered at the desk, no longer comes back checked in when signed up again. A checked-in player clears the check-in on the card that says to go to the desk; Unregister shows again after that.
  • The player window shows Bust Out, Stack Count, Move to Another Seat, Withdraw, Undo Approval and Player Info, each with a line that says what it does. Void the Player is gone. Player Info shows the events played, the club role and the desk's note, and the email for a director.
  • A stud or limit game added to an event after it was made now gets antes, bring-ins and bets that the event's chips can make. Before, a Hold'em night with stud added later could show a player ante of 80 and a stud ante of 480 on 100 chips. The levels sheet marks any amount the chips cannot make in red, and Fix the Amounts corrects them.
  • The Templates page reads more simply and shows each template once, at its newest version. Delete now removes a template even when the club made events from it; those events keep their own settings.
  • The rake is a choice of No Rake, Percentage or Fee per Entry, in the club's Defaults and in an event's Custom Rake. Only the field you choose shows.
  • Joining the Club is one card in Club Settings. Choose Standard Join, where a director approves each request, or Instant Join, where the club's link lets people in at once. The poster prints the link of the way you chose, and the club code always asks a director.
  • An event's bar is tidier: Room Clock is an outlined button beside the name, and a director's Edit the Event and Audit Log are in one Manage menu at the right of the bar. Where space is short, Manage shows only its icon.
  • The club sets its dealer type, a dedicated dealer or self-dealt, under Defaults in Club Settings. Every new event, quick or extended, starts with it, and each event can still change its own.
  • A new event's tables have 8 seats, and 7 for H.O.R.S.E. and the 8-Game Mix. The extended form follows the game until you change the number.
  • The quick event no longer has a note under its buttons.
  • The note about a final table bigger than a table shows only from two extra seats, on a line of its own, so the fields beside it no longer jump.
  • With more than five clubs, the club menu's list scrolls, with the club on show in view, and each club has its badge.
  • On Branding, Choose a File looks like a button, and the keyboard reaches it.
  • On a phone, the account menu and the club menu open above the banner of a test as another account, not behind it.
  • A new club's Events page welcomes the director: Welcome to PokerSjef, then the five first steps, each with its points as a short list. The club settings name their pages: Defaults, Branding and Club Information.
  • The Players list on the Seating tab has no More button. The player's name opens their window with every action, so the rows have more room.
  • A player's own card shows a green Checked In once they check in, and then the next step: Go to the desk, or, on the waiting list, wait for a place. It no longer asks a player who checked in to check in. On the events list, Checked in is green as well.
  • While an event runs, its Results tab shows Provisional, not Running and Provisional side by side. Before the start it shows no status at all.
  • Impersonate Account and Delete Another Account no longer list deleted accounts, and nobody can test as one.
  • The registration desk no longer offers a player who left the club, or was removed from it, as the Members page already did. A walk-in without an account is offered as before, and a player who joins again is offered again.
  • The desk's list of the club's players is called Add a Club Player, without a count, and says what it is for.
  • A person with no club sees one card on every page, Events, Ranking and Games among them: the steps to join a club, how to create one, and what to do when they signed up with another account, with the account that is signed in.
  • On a phone, the top bar keeps its height on a short page. It grew to a third of the screen on the No Club Yet page and on an empty My Results.
  • The club menu of a person with no club starts with Create a Club, without a line above it.
  • My Results says what it shows once you played an event that ended.
  • On the events page, New Event sits at the right of the first card's heading, Active Today or else All Events, instead of in a row of its own. It is a little narrower, and it never covers the search or the filter.
  • Create a Club and Join a Club open in a window over the events page, from the club menu, a printed poster's QR code or an invite link. Before, Create a Club was a loose form at the top of the events list, and Join a Club a page of its own.
  • A club's name can have up to 40 characters, because the room clock shows it. The limit applies to a new club and to a new name.
  • Ranking stays at its own address, /ranking, instead of jumping to /leagues or /seasons. The seasons and the leagues are under it, at /ranking/seasons and /ranking/leagues. An old link to a season or a league still opens it.
  • Club Settings has five pages under the club's name, as an event has: Club Information (the name, the venues, joining the club, and closing the club at the bottom), Branding (the logo, the background picture and the room clock), Defaults (the defaults for new events and the chip sets), Templates, and Audit.
  • A new club logo or background picture shows on the Branding page first. Save the Changes stores it, and Discard Changes forgets it. Before, a picture was stored the moment you chose it.
  • The club's audit log, on the Audit page of Club Settings, has the search and the filter of an event's audit log: the search and the kind of change.
  • The audit logs no longer have a tick box for the actions taken as somebody else. Only the platform administrator tests as another account, and the Who column still marks those actions.
  • Every (i) sits the same way beside its text, 6 px after it and centred on it, in headings, figure names, column names and form labels alike. Before, the Ranking and Members headings, for example, placed it differently.
  • The Members page shows ten people a page, not twenty.
  • The Results tab's heading is Results, without the event's name.
  • A new event starts with the final table that is usual for its game: 9 players for Texas Hold'em, 7 for H.O.R.S.E. and the 8-Game Mix. The quick event uses it, and the extended form starts with it and follows the game while you do not change the number.
  • The extended form for a new event has the same top as the quick event: New Event, the club, and Quick, Extended and Template, with Extended chosen, so you can go back to Quick from either page.

PokerSjef 0.22.0

  • A deleted player no longer shows on the member list or in the desk's list of the club's players. A deleted player who never played an event is removed from the club for good, at the deletion and, for the ones already there, at this release. The nights that a deleted player played keep their results under "Deleted player".
  • On the Edit page, Copy This Event is a button beside Save the Changes. It opens a window with the copy for another day and Repeat It Weekly, in place of the card at the bottom of the page.
  • The Audit Log is called Audit Log, without the event's name, and the note about records from before 11 September 2026 is gone. A change of the venue and a final table formed by hand now say so in words.
  • The owner and the directors can download the club's members as a CSV file from the Members page. A name that a spreadsheet would read as a formula stays text, in this file and in the other downloads.
  • My Results: a player with results in two clubs or more chooses All Clubs or one club in a row at the top, as on an event's Results tab. The line that said the page shows every club is gone.
  • A table that never moved no longer offers "Back to" the last game of the mix at the start of the night, after the mix was put in a new order or a game was set by hand.
  • On the Seating tab the list is called Players and the tables card Tables, with no count after either. Balance Now is now Auto Balance Tables, and the note about house rules is gone. The Overview's tables card is called Tables too.
  • The Structure tab has no Ends After column and no end times on the breaks, so the amounts have more room. The note that late entry closes sits on its break's own line.
  • On the Edit page during play, a level that starts while you edit it shows its amounts in play again, with a note, instead of a change the save would drop.
  • The payout editor of a new event starts from the split the club published last, so a weekly night no longer starts at 15% each week. A split typed as percentages comes back exactly as typed (50, 30 and 20), not as the shares of the rounded prizes.
  • Going back a step on the clock no longer opens rebuys and add-ons again once late entry has closed.
  • A mix put in a new order before the start opens the night on the new first game.
  • Pause, pressed at the moment the level changes, is no longer refused.
  • A command sent again after its answer was lost gets the first answer, not an error.
  • The Balance button no longer counts a move for a player who is deciding on a rebuy, and the floor's overview shows the paid places only once the payouts are published.
  • A night stopped with End the Event while several players are still in no longer makes one of them the season's winner. They score when the director records the order they finished in.
  • A player who busts with a rebuy open and then declines is ranked at the time of the bust, not at the time the desk records the decision. Players who went out in between keep their better places.
  • On a phone the event tabs line up: Registration's name no longer sits higher than the others.
  • The amounts of the level before show only in the first minute of a level that follows a level, not after a break, and they go when the table moves to its next game. The table screen says "Level 3 was 100 / 200", as the room clock does.
  • An edit of the structure during play no longer makes the room clock chime and read the level out again.
  • Moved, pressed a moment after the two-minute rule made the move, no longer shows an error.
  • Unbust puts the player back in the seat they left, when nobody sits there.
  • Close the Table waits while a player is still on the way to that table, and gives no second move to a player who is already leaving it.
  • Next Game pressed by the dealer and the floor at the same moment moves the table one game, not two.
  • A request that gets no answer stops waiting after about 20 seconds, so the screen's buttons come back and the screen says the connection is down. Pressed again, it is not done twice.
  • Pause after a Pause whose answer was lost, then a Resume, pauses the clock again.
  • On the extended form and the Edit page, Players at the Final Table follows Seats per Table when the two were the same, and a note says when the final table seats more players than a table has.
  • Saving the Edit page after a reload no longer gives an event with no rake the club's rake, and it keeps an Expected Players number that the desk raised on the night.
  • Copying an event for next week: the box that signs up last week's players starts unticked, and the card says so. The copy gives the final table its normal number of seats again, and it leaves out a finished league.
  • Each event has its own invite link and QR code on its Registration tab. It joins the club and signs the player up in one press, and it stops working when the event is finalized. It no longer needs the club's instant join link, and a new club code or club link does not change it.
  • Keep Open on a closing table now cancels the moves that closing it ordered. Before, two minutes later the app counted those players as moved to the other table while they still sat at the table that stayed open.
  • A phone or a laptop that slept shows the right time on the clock at once when it wakes. Before, it could show the minutes it slept added on, and a director's +1 min from such a screen moved every clock by that much.
  • A profile picture and a club logo open in a crop window: move the picture and zoom until the circle shows the part that you want, with a finger, two fingers or the mouse. The result is a small, sharp picture.
  • A large picture is no longer refused: the club logo, the background picture and the profile picture are made smaller before they are saved, on every phone.
  • In Club Settings, the Starting Stack field's name fits on one line.
  • A new number of seats per table on the Edit page now also changes the tables already made, when nobody sits above the new number. An event made with 8 seats and set to 6 kept tables of 8.
  • Reloading the New Event page, or opening it from a saved link, no longer shows "This page could not be shown". The Edit page could break the same way.
  • The New Event page offers Quick, Extended and Template, in that order. Template shows only when the club has a template. The full form is now called the extended form.
  • On the extended form, Private Event explains itself in an (i), and the leagues are chosen as on the quick event: chips, with Add a League. The seasons line shows once the event has a date.

PokerSjef 0.21.0

  • A club that has no venue yet can add one from the event itself: the Venue list of the quick event and of the full form ends with Create a New Venue. It opens a window with Google's suggestions, and the new venue becomes the event's venue. The full form now always shows the Venue field. In Club Settings, Locations is now called Venues.
  • On the full form, Generate Again is at the foot of Blind Levels. When you change a setting after the levels were made, a reminder above the button says that the levels do not use the new settings until you press Generate Again.
  • If you typed a template name but did not press Save the Template, Create the Event asks whether to save the template too. You can save both, create the event only, or go back. Save the Changes asks the same.
  • The points multiplier counts in leagues only. A season counts every event once. The full form shows the multiplier when the event counts in a league.
  • In the In Play list, a player who can no longer rebuy has a Bust Out button, so the floor can bust them out from the Seating page.
  • The Deciding on a Rebuy label lines up with the name for players who have a photo.
  • Only the owner, the directors and the floor can download an event's results or a season's or league's standings as a spreadsheet. Everybody still sees them on the screen.
  • On the full form, pressing Enter in the New Chip Set window no longer creates the event.
  • A pending move counts as made when nobody presses Moved within 2 minutes: the player then has the new seat. The Pending Moves list and the table screen show the time.
  • An event now has five tabs, each with an icon: Overview, Registration, Seating, Structure and Results. Overview has the clock, the night's figures beside it, every table under it, then hand-for-hand. Seating has the players in play, the tables and a row of buttons for the page of each table. Results has the finishing order and, for the directors, Payouts. The room clock opens from the television icon by the event's name. Old links still open the same page.
  • The full form starts with the same cards as the quick event: the game or your own mix, the prizes, the format and the structure. Then it asks the details in the quick event's order, the money, the field, and the seasons and leagues.
  • The first Start of an event asks first: after the start, you can no longer cancel the event.
  • While hand-for-hand runs, Resume is off and the clock card says how to restart the clock.
  • Before the start, the Overview tab says what to do first: approve the players, then press Start.
  • On a phone, Moved and Cancel the Move come second in Pending Moves, so you see them without scrolling. A button that clears a chosen player now says Do Not Move, so it is not mixed up with Cancel the Move.
  • Players: both sign-in buttons show at once, also inside Messenger. A cancelled sign-in no longer loses the event's invite. A new account keeps the language chosen on the sign-in card. Signing up and checking in work while the connection recovers, and a failed check-in says to tell the desk.
  • After the check-in, the player's card says to go to the desk with the buy-in. Results marks the player's own row. The Structure page shows when the event starts. The room clock on a phone starts without sound.
  • The sign-in card says to use the same Google or Facebook account each time, because another account is a new, empty account. An invite opened after the start says to go to the desk.
  • Pages in Norwegian open faster: the long Help and game guide texts download when you open them. Season and league standings load faster.
  • At the desk: voiding a player says that the first person on the waiting list gets the place, and voiding a paid player says to hand the buy-in back. A withdrawal says that only a director can undo it. After late entry closes, the desk offers an approval only when the event allows it, and only to a director.
  • Typing the name of a club regular as a walk-in warns you to choose them from the club list, so that their results stay under one name.
  • On a phone, the Out and Voided lists show one card per player, so Unbust and Undo the Void are on the screen. The Invite Players card is under the player list, so the first Approve is near the top.
  • The player sheet's Approve opens a table when every seat is taken, as the desk's Approve does.
  • Results holds prize payments when the prize pool changed after the payouts were published, until you publish a new revision. A draft of the payouts opens the editor, so you can publish it.
  • After the event ends, the Overview says what is left for the reader: bust out any players still in, publish the payouts, pay the prizes, finalize. The Floor reads that a director does the rest.
  • Finish the Season shows only after the season's last day, and deleting a season says that you cannot undo it.
  • On the full form, a blank buy-in or cost is said as missing, not saved as 0 kr. Create asks when you changed a setting after the levels were made. Cancel asks before it throws the form away. A refused Create shows its reason by the button.
  • After Create, the Overview says that the event exists and that the invite is on the Registration tab.
  • When a walk-in's approval did not finish, the desk's list no longer stays filtered by that name after the player is seated.
  • In the bust-and-rebuy window, Bust Out, No Rebuy busts out a player who says no at once, with the usual question.
  • On the Events page, the (i) beside a player's Signed up or Checked in label is a small circle again, not a tall oval.
  • End the Event shows only once the clock has started. Before the start, Cancel the Event is the way out.
  • On the room clock, the organiser and the venue share one line beside the date and the time, so switching either on or off no longer moves the clock. A long venue name ends in "…".
  • The room clock's page for an event that a screen cannot show has a Sign In button.
  • In Club Settings, the room clock's choices say what each item is: The Organiser, The Venue, The Date and Time, The Figures and The Information Strip. The preview shows where each one goes.
  • The table screen has a full-screen button at the top right of the clock's card, beside How to Play, for the floor, the dealers and the players. It fills the screen of the phone or the computer, hides the menus and How to Play, and keeps the screen awake. In full screen, a sun shows that the screen stays awake. A moon shows that the device would not keep it awake, with a note that says what to do. Press the button again to see the menus. On an iPhone, the browser's bar stays.
  • The room clock and the table screen ask again to keep the screen awake as soon as the browser lets go, not only when you come back to the page.
  • In full screen, the table screen's clock grows to the width of its card, so the players can read it from across the table. On a phone held sideways, it stays small enough to keep the game and the amounts in view.
  • In full screen, the blinds, bets, bring-in and ante grow too: one row, each amount as big as its column allows, so even 100,000 fits. Their names stay on one line and get smaller when they are long, and the (i) beside the ante is not shown.
  • In full screen on a phone held sideways, or on a computer, the clock is on the left and the game with its blinds on the right, so both show without scrolling.
  • Moving from table to table in full screen keeps the full screen.
  • About 120 smaller wording and layout fixes from the organiser review, in English and Norwegian: shorter (i) notes, button names that say what they do (Sign Up Again, Do Not Move, Undo the Withdrawal, Publish the Payouts, New Code and Link), the Floor no longer sees approval buttons it cannot use after late entry closes, a bust-out says how to undo it, Unbust says where the new seat shows, the payouts page says which revision is in force and why Publish is grey, a question before a game card replaces your own mix, past seasons are on a shelf called Past, and full touch targets for small buttons and tick boxes on phones.
  • A new club's first steps start with Club Settings, to check the time zone and the currency. The button that makes a new club code is now New Code and Link, and its question says that a printed poster and every event's invite link stop working.

PokerSjef 0.20.0

  • The Events page has one New Event button at the top right. Its page asks how to make the event (Quick, From a Template, or the Full Form) and, for a quick event, shows the kind of event as cards with an icon: the game, the prizes and the format. A quick event now says what the club's rake and fee take from each buy-in.
  • The quick event asks for the game first, as cards that list the games each one includes: Texas Hold'em (no limit), H.O.R.S.E. (five fixed-limit games in turn) or the 8-Game Mix (the eight games in the World Series order). The format now also offers Rebuys + Add-Ons: one add-on for each player, for the buy-in, closing with late entry. The structure preview shows the blinds, the limits, the bring-in and the antes that the games need.
  • An event can have sponsored prizes: the club gives the prizes, and the players pay no buy-in, no rebuy and no add-on. The quick event shows Free, Prize Pool and Sponsored Prizes as cards. The full form has a Prizes list with the same three choices, in place of the Cash Event tick and the Money heading. On the Payouts page, the director types the prize of each paid place: a text, such as Voucher or Watch, and an amount when the prize is money. The prizes can be published before the event starts. The room clock and the Results page show the prizes, the room clock shows them under the winner and the top three too, and the director pays the money prizes on the Results page, as before.
  • Seasons and Leagues are now one item, Ranking, in the sidebar and in the bar at the bottom of a phone. At the top of the Ranking page, choose Seasons or Leagues. Each side says what it ranks and how many run now. The (i) beside the heading says that each season and each league has its own standings. PokerSjef remembers the last choice. The first time, it opens the leagues if the club runs one, else the seasons. The links to a season or a league stay the same.
  • Both event forms ask for the blind structure: on the quick event as a row of three cards below Format, each with its explanation, and on the full form beside the minutes per level. Balanced, the default, starts with about 100 big blinds and increases by about the same step every level, about 40%. Slow Start is PokerSjef's classic structure: about 200 big blinds, small steps first and large steps at the end, now never more than double in one level when the night allows it. Casino takes each value of the live ladder in turn, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800 and so on, from about 200 big blinds. On the quick event, PokerSjef suggests the starting stack from the structure and the smallest chip, and the length of the event from the expected players. You can type your own. The full form says the average step and, when the length is far from it, the length that the structure needs.
  • Club Settings has two more defaults for new events: the club's starting stack, for example 30,000, which every new event starts with instead of the suggestion; and the breaks, after every 3 or every 4 levels. Every new event follows them. No event takes a break before a last session that is shorter than the others: with 13 levels and a break every 3, there is no break after level 12, because the final table brings its own.
  • The quick event's details are in a clearer order: name, venue, date, start time and expected players; then the length, the minutes per level, late entry, the starting stack and the chip set. The quick event now asks for the venue too.
  • Each player's chips include at least four of every middle chip, so the desk does not run out of change: 20,000 in 100, 500, 1,000 and 5,000 is now 10, 4, 7 and 2.
  • The colour-ups follow how clubs do it: at a break, one chip type at most comes off, and none at the first break.
  • The Invite Players card on the Registration tab says less: one line, the link and the QR code. Who can join with the link is in its (i) note.
  • On a phone, an event's head is tidier: the way back and the icons on the first row, the event's name in full under them, and the venue under the name. The head no longer shows the event's status, which the events list and the Clock tab show; a private event still says so.
  • An event with sponsored prizes shows its Payouts tab to the directors, as an event with a prize pool does.
  • The Events page no longer repeats the club's name and the count of events at the top: the club's name is in the sidebar already. New Event stays at the top right.
  • On the Events page, each card under Active Today shows its status at the top right and its buttons at the foot, so the cards line up whatever the length of the name.
  • The room clock shows the date and the time now, at the top right, on the row of the organiser. It uses the server's time in the time zone of the event, so a television whose own clock is wrong still shows the correct time. A switch in the room clock settings turns it off. The start time on the room clock uses the same time zone.
  • On a phone, the bar at the bottom has Events, Ranking, Members and Games for a director, and Events, Ranking, Games and My Results for everybody else. Every role sees the club's games and how each is played. The More button is gone: Club Settings is in the club menu at the top, as on a computer.
  • The templates moved from the sidebar to Club Settings. The New Event page still starts an event from a template, and the old Templates address opens Club Settings.
  • The quick event and the full form always show the Chip Set field, with Create a New Chip Set at the end of its list: it opens the chip set editor in a window, and the new set becomes the event's set. The Smallest Chip field is gone: the smallest chip of the chosen set always decides it. The default set shows no second default label in Club Settings.
  • Maximum Players is now Expected Players everywhere: the forms, the desk, Help and the messages. When the expected players are signed up, new signups join the waiting list, as before. A quick event now expects exactly the players given, instead of rounding up to whole tables.
  • A quick event can count in leagues: Add a League lists the club's leagues that are still running, and you can add several or remove one. The quick event also says which seasons its date counts in, and the full form keeps the chosen leagues.
  • In the event form, a long field name no longer pushes its box below the boxes beside it; "Final Table When This Many Remain" is now "Players at the Final Table".
  • The Games page lists the standard variants first, then the club's own variants, and leaves the club's list out when the club has none.
  • Removing one of the club's own games removes it at every limit or at none, and a game that an event played says to rename it instead.
  • On the Members page, the merge button shows only where there is a record to merge. The player sheet says what each of its rarer actions does, and the table screen explains the ante in an (i) note.
  • A payout revision keeps the rounding its prizes were published with, so a revision after a late rebuy starts from it instead of going back to the club's 50 kr.
  • The account box at the foot of the sidebar shows the whole name. A long name continues on the next line. It is not cut.
  • The game guide's list of words heard at the table now has the words of the game too: Flop, Turn and River in games with shared cards, Bring-in and Complete in stud, and Draw and Stand pat in draw games.
  • In Sviten Special, the draw step explains the one-card rule in a box: the single card comes face up, and the player keeps it or takes the next card face down.
  • The guide says that fixed-limit betting allows one bet and three or four raises, as the club decides, and tells the player to ask the dealer.
  • Every text in PokerSjef now follows simple, plain English (ASD-STE100): short sentences, one instruction at a time, and the same word for the same thing on every screen. This covers the screens, the (i) notes, the questions, the help, the game guide, the messages that say why something was refused, and the privacy and terms pages. Standard poker phrases, such as in the money, the bubble and heads-up, stay as players say them. The Norwegian follows the same rules.
  • A refusal says the same thing in the same words, whether it comes from the screen, the server or the database. Messages from the database that showed in English now have their Norwegian.
  • The game guide was checked rule by rule. In pot limit, it says that saying "pot" is a bet of that size, and how to ask for the size of the pot. It explains the blinds heads-up, and that the big blind can check. The examples of hands to fold are correct. Where rooms differ, for example a pair on 4th street in stud or Archie 66 when nobody qualifies, the guide tells the player to ask the dealer.
  • The guide follows the club's house rules: the lowest face-up card brings it in in every stud game except razz, Super stud hi-low included, Sviten Special has no burn cards, and fixed-limit single draw tells the player to ask the dealer. Chips that leave play at a break are marked Colour Up.
  • The privacy page shows the steps to delete an account, as the screens name them. The terms say that the person who starts a club is its owner, and that the owner or a director gives the roles.

PokerSjef 0.19.0

Launch preparation: an invite link for each event, closing a club instead of deleting it, the floor's Overview tab, sign-in that works from Facebook, Messenger and Instagram, about 50 new (i) notes and clearer words on every screen, a full regression pass, and a clean-up of the database.

  • Each event has an invite link, on its Registration tab, with a QR code: a player opens it, signs in, and one press joins the club and signs them up. The Events page then says they are signed up and what happens on the night.
  • An owner now closes a club instead of deleting it. The club leaves every list, takes no new events and nobody can join it, but its finished nights stay in the results and statistics of the players who played them, under the club's name, and can no longer be changed. A club with no finished night is still deleted outright.
  • A small helper function could be run by anyone, signed in or not. It only split a name in two and read nothing, but it is now locked, and the automatic check that every function says who may call it now covers every change to the database.
  • The acceptance conditions of the specification are now all proved by automated tests, except the results email (not built) and the table devices and sit-and-go (for later).
  • Club settings, like the rest, are refused while the connection to the server is down, instead of failing after the press.
  • A new Overview tab for the floor and the directors shows the night at a glance: players still in, rebuys and add-ons, tables and free seats, chips in play and the average stack, the prize pool and late entry, then every table on one line with its seats as numbered squares; tap a seat to open that player.
  • The Clock tab has a bar that fills as the level runs, and shows each game being played with this level's amounts and the next level's.
  • The winner's card shows a real photo large, in a wide frame in the club's colour, on a taller card, as Blind Valet's does; without a photo it keeps the round profile picture. Beside Share there are now Copy and Save.
  • A player who opens an event's invite link after already signing up is told so, and lands on the Events page once signed up; unregistering from an event now asks first.
  • Busy pages read faster as the clubs grow: the database now finds an event's seats, prizes and deals, a player's own results and the running clocks directly, instead of reading whole tables. The record of each command kept for repeats is cleared after two weeks; the audit log stays in full.
  • On a result, players no longer read the director's note about recording and reversing payments, and the finalize text says that a prize still unpaid can be recorded after finalizing.
  • A player who opens an invite link inside Facebook, Messenger or Instagram, where Google refuses to sign anybody in, is told so on the sign-in card, sees Continue with Facebook first, and can copy the link to open it in Safari or Chrome.
  • A link to PokerSjef pasted into Messenger, WhatsApp or Facebook now shows a picture with the PokerSjef chip and name, and a phone that adds the site to its home screen shows the chip as its icon.
  • The desk keeps the last five players seated, with their seats, in a Just Seated card, so a seat can still be read out after the corner notice has gone.
  • The desk says that rebuys and add-ons stay open through the break after their last level, as they always did; it used to read as closed during that break.
  • Balancing the tables, and cutting a level to one minute when more than two minutes would be lost, now ask first.
  • Counting a stack starts from an empty box, so an old count is never saved again with a new time; the last count still shows above it.
  • The player sheet no longer offers to undo an approval after a rebuy or add-on, which was refused; its approve button says when it takes the buy-in or admits after the cut-off.
  • The Clock tab shows the paid places only once payouts are published, as the Overview does, instead of a 15% guess.
  • Clearer words on the desk and the floor: Bust Out and Rebuy, Cancel the Move, Add to the Waiting List when the field is full, and (i) notes on the figures and lists a volunteer meets on the night.
  • The Tables screen's table picker has no extra word beside it.
  • A player's Open on an event not started yet shows its structure, which now also says the buy-in, the starting stack, and the price of a rebuy and an add-on; the result page of such an event says it has not started.
  • The events list shows a night running now first, then the nights to come, soonest first, then past events, newest first.
  • The waiting list no longer promises a call: a place that comes free goes to the next person waiting by itself, and the Events page then shows them signed up.
  • The email and password box says it is only for accounts that already have a password, and a new person who tries it is pointed to Google or Facebook.
  • During hand-for-hand, players no longer see the dealer's Hand Finished button; a person without a club is offered to join one first.
  • Players see an event's state as Scheduled, Ongoing or Finished everywhere, and (i) notes explain signing up, the waiting list, entrants, deals, standings and the winner's card.
  • Club settings says truthfully that the check-in window applies at once to every event, while the time zone, currency and rake are copied into each new event; the club logo, time zone and fee have (i) notes.
  • Payouts before anybody has paid in no longer says the event is free; the deal button says why it waits for a note; the rounding, the share of the field, the paid places and a revision's status have (i) notes.
  • Money sentences no longer speak of kroner for a club in another currency.
  • A season counts every event that starts in its dates, as it always did; the pages said "finishes". Scoring speaks of rebuys, not re-entries.
  • (i) notes on the event forms (maximum players, rebuys, fee, big blind ante, the calculator's base), the quick event, Members, games, the room clock's strip and chips, and the structure's stud ante.
  • A clean-up of the database, which changes nothing you see: the old printed self check-in code and the display link are gone with everything behind them; so are four unused columns, the write rules that could never apply (which made every read a little slower), and three old commands no screen sent. Every role is now club-wide in the database itself, deleting events and tables is quicker, and erasing an account also clears the names in its own profile history.
  • The note the desk adds for a walk-in, to tell two players with the same name apart, now shows beside the name in the club list.

PokerSjef 0.18.1

Nothing you can see.

  • The database describes what each of the winner's photo fields holds, for whoever reads it.

PokerSjef 0.18.0

Safer hosting: no framing by other sites, and a real "not found" for missing files and addresses.

  • Other websites can no longer show PokerSjef inside their own pages; its own room clock preview still does.
  • An address that does not exist shows a short page that says so, with a way back, instead of the events list. A file asked for while a new version is still reaching every server now answers "not found", so the browser never keeps the page in its place.
  • The winner's card and photo also work for a night completed with nobody left in play: the last player out, who holds first place, is the winner.

PokerSjef 0.17.1

A fix on its own.

  • The platform administrator's Impersonate Account and Delete Another Account lists name a club's owner Owner, as the Members page does, instead of Director.

PokerSjef 0.17.0

The club release: each club sets its own time zone, currency, rake, check-in window, room clock and chip sets once; private events and check-in from your own card; a room clock that fills the screen, lists tonight's players out with their points, shows the top three at the finish and can be previewed at every moment of a night from its settings; hand-for-hand with ties; the winner's photo, on the room clock and on a card to share; and the fixes from three full regression passes on staging.

  • At your own table the "Your seat" card no longer sits above the clock: your row in the roster is marked You. Other tables still show it, with Go to my table.
  • The club's time zone, currency, rake and fee, and how early check-in opens (an hour by default) are set once on Club settings; every new event starts with them, and an event can still set a rake of its own.
  • Private events replace practice events: only the club's owners and directors, and the players signed up for it, see one. Every event is published when it is made; there are no drafts.
  • Players check themselves in from their own card on the Events page once check-in opens; the printed check-in code is gone. The desk sees a blue Checked in beside the name and approves them.
  • A player who signed up in advance comes off the waiting list before one added on the night.
  • The event form is shorter: the length of the night sits by the start, the maximum players come first, the dealer type is Dedicated or Self-dealt, rebuys are 1 to 4 or Unlimited, late entry closes at a break, the smallest chip comes from the club's chips, and a rebuy is always called a rebuy.
  • The level calculator's preview shows the breaks as rows and every amount under its own heading; a fixed-limit game no longer repeats its big blind, and the big blind ante reads BBA.
  • The event's tabs are Clock, Registration, Seating, Payouts, Structure, Results, Tables and Room clock. Edit and the audit log are icons by the event's name; Event controls is gone, its cards now on the Clock tab and the Edit page.
  • Seating has Find a player and Balance now at the top, each table's own game, a greyed table to add another, and a Players view with everyone in the event.
  • Hand-for-hand sits at the bottom of the Clock tab and waits until late entry has closed.
  • The cash-up is in the audit log, for directors and the owner, and the log's Money and chips filter now shows every buy-in, rebuy and add-on with what it moved.
  • Results end with finalization; Reopen for correction is red, and a payment with no recorded method says so.
  • The level sheet reads in coloured bands, Stud, Limit and No limit, with a break as a row of its own where it falls, one Ante cell for stud with its player or stud choice, and cells as wide as the amounts, so a full mix fits a laptop screen.
  • The Structure tab shows the levels the same way: one band per kind of game instead of a column per game, the breaks with their colour-ups as rows, the level being played marked and the ones played dimmed.
  • Signing up is one tap: your name on the list is your account's name, and only a full event asks, since it puts you on the waiting list.
  • A new event is made in two steps: first the event, the field and the money, then Continue. The blind levels are then generated from those figures, counting the rebuys and add-ons the night can expect (a tenth of the field rebuying as often as it may, another tenth some of those times, 15% once, half the field adding on); late entry closes at one of their breaks, the first at or after a third of the way by default. Nothing is saved until you create the event.
  • Late entry always closes: every event names the break it closes at, the quick event too, and the Structure tab marks that break. An event saved without one keeps working until its next edit asks for one.
  • The level sheet sets every stud level's ante, player or stud, with one choice at the top of the column; the "What each table reads" card is gone.
  • The quick event no longer fails when the starting stack is cleared: it says "Type a starting stack" beside the field. Its late entry is a choice of the night's breaks, and a no-limit ante reads BBA.
  • Seating shows the players in play at the top, ten to a page, with the search that finds a player; then a bar with Set every table to and Balance now; then the tables; then the players out, with Unbust. The Tables and Players switch is gone.
  • A bust-out shows at once, and the rest of the table view stays usable while it is confirmed. Two players busted one straight after the other from the same screen finish in the order they were busted, and the table's Hand Finished and a rebuy wait for the bust before them.
  • The room clock is set on Club settings: what it shows (the organiser, the venue, the blinds, Find your seat, tonight's results, the payouts, the moves, the chips, the figures along the bottom), the clock colour with a live preview, the information strip and whether a new screen starts with sound. A new event copies these; a night can change its own copy on its Clock tab. The logo and the background picture stay the club's.
  • A clock colour too dark for the dark screen is shown lighter in the same hue, so hot pink or a strong blue shows, and the settings say so beside the colour.
  • The room clock fills the screen: larger text and digits, and nothing cut off on a 1280 × 720 television. The final table's draw takes the whole screen, with every name in full. The season or league table is gone; the screen lists tonight's players out, with the points each took and, in brackets, their total. Rebuys and add-ons are counted along the bottom, and a strip that fits stands still.
  • A finished night's room clock shows the winner and the rest of the top three, with their prizes once published, and no strip; its header says Finished, and the night's whole length is given.
  • Season and league standings follow a night as it is played: each player scores as they go out, and the winner when it ends.
  • Hand-for-hand shows only while it can matter: with more than one table left and at least as many places paid as the final table seats.
  • The events list shows a small map pin after an event's name when it has a venue; a tap opens the place in Maps, found by its name when it has no address.
  • "Table 1, Seat 8" with a capital S everywhere, and "Bord 1, Plass 8" in Norwegian.
  • The instant join link's code is ten characters with no look-alike letters, so its QR code prints cleanly and it can be typed in any case. Every club's link was replaced: share the new one.
  • A page that fails to draw no longer blames an update unless one happened.
  • The club history names a change to the room clock or to the defaults for new events, and a league finished or reopened, instead of "Changed something in the club".
  • A long label beside a tick box wraps next to the box instead of dropping under it.
  • The room clock's table cards read from further away: on a wide card the game sits on the top line beside its tables, and every amount is in one row and larger, the same size on every card. The line under them reads "Next Level:", and "Tables advance their own game after an orbit" is gone. The figures along the bottom keep clear of the screen's edge.
  • Find your seat reads down each column, then the next, in at least two columns on a laptop or a television and three where they fit, and its pages say "Page 1 of 2".
  • The room clock has a switch beside the chime, the voice and full screen that shows whether the screen is kept from going to sleep; a tap keeps it awake and says so. The link at the bottom, shown when the browser refused, now reads "Tap to Stop This Screen Going to Sleep".
  • A long name ends in "…" where it would run over its place: on the room clock, and in the table, seating and results lists, where a tap on it opens the player with the whole name. The final table's draw, the winner and the top three show a name whole on up to two lines.
  • Repeat It Weekly keeps the start time on the club's clock across a change of summer time: a 19:00 night in October is copied to 19:00 in November, not 18:00. Copy This Event starts with the event's own name filled in.
  • The Edit page of a quick event shows the smallest chip it was made on, and no longer warns about a chip the club does not have.
  • The Edit page of a finished event says its levels and games are fixed, instead of saying the clock is running.
  • After the night, a table's page says it is finished, who won and where the results are, instead of a clock at 00:00 over an empty list.
  • Hand-for-hand no longer waits for a table nobody sits at. Ending it takes the last hand's minutes off the clock like every other hand, and once everyone left is in the money it says so and makes ending it the main button.
  • A player who checks in from their card sees Checked in on the event below it at once.
  • The club history on Club settings shows a change made on that page at once, names the game that was added, changed or removed, and pages fifteen at a time, newest first.
  • The desk says when a walk-in's name is already in the event, with their seat, so the same player is not entered twice.
  • The account menu reads My Results and Sign Out.
  • Help explains the room clock's screen-awake switch.
  • Deleting a club now says plainly that the players keep their accounts and other clubs, but the nights they played in that club leave their results and statistics.
  • After a deal, the room clock shows what each player agreed, for the winner, the top three and the payouts, instead of what their places pay; players tied on a hand of hand-for-hand are all named, and share.
  • "Late entry" is the word everywhere, the desk's messages and the server's included; the refusal when a late player needs a director's reason now reads in Norwegian too.
  • Sign Up Only is off once late entry has closed and the field is full, as nobody can join the waiting list then.
  • When late entry has closed and the event lets nobody in after it, the desk says so under the buttons, with a link to allow it on the Edit page; the window that admits a late player reads "Late entry closed when level 4 started".
  • The Tables tab opens the first table somebody sits at, not an empty one.
  • A finished event's status says who won instead of "1 still in".
  • Points are written the reader's way everywhere, 8,97 in Norwegian, on the room clock, the standings and the scoring example.
  • The desk's club list says nobody new can join once late entry has closed and the field is full, instead of offering the waiting list.
  • Norwegian: "Bord 1" with a capital, and "klokken" throughout; the table page and Help point to where a withdrawal and an unbust are now recorded on the Seating tab.
  • A withdrawal or a rebuy that gives up a stack can no longer hand in more chips than are in play; the desk and the player sheet say so before anything is sent, and a withdrawal handing in nothing is never refused.
  • Switching how the pool is split keeps each place's meaning: percentages become the prizes they give, amounts their share of the pool, instead of 50 % turning into 50 kr.
  • The room clock's strip says late entry in one short sentence, as the desk does.
  • On the room clock's payouts, players tied on a hand share one line with each one's share; hand-for-hand's own buttons wait for a bust still on its way.
  • The Clock tab no longer explains Reset above its button; its confirmation says it. On the Structure tab and the level sheet a break is blue-grey, and the step being played is green with a bar down its edge.
  • A club can keep several chip sets, each with its own name, and choose which is the default. Every new event starts with the default and can take another on its Edit page or in the quick event. An event keeps its own copy of its set until the night is done, so a change on Club settings moves no event already made; the Edit page offers to take the set again as it is now.
  • Each chip can have its own colour for the edge spots; left alone, a light chip gets dark spots, so a white chip no longer looks plain.
  • A room clock signed in as a player or a dealer now shows the amounts of a deal, as the Floor's and a director's do.
  • Hand-for-hand's reminder counts only tables somebody sits at; the screen-awake switch says the state once the browser has answered; the club history of one club no longer shows under another after a switch.
  • The room clock's settings show the real room clock in miniature, laid out as on a television, at each moment of a night: before the start, a level, a break, the payouts, table moves, the bubble, hand-for-hand, the final table and the finish. It uses made-up players with your settings, background and chips, and on a night's Clock tab that night's own levels, games and money. Open Full Size shows it in a tab of its own, to try on the television.
  • On the room clock, hand-for-hand, the bubble, a pause or a colour-up under the countdown now takes its room from the countdown, so the table cards stay whole even on a 1024 × 768 screen; hand-for-hand and the bubble share one row.
  • The room clock's side panel turns the page every ten seconds when its list is longer than it has room for, instead of cutting it off: every table move, payout and player out now shows, and a move reads on one line.
  • A chip set needs at least one chip before it can be saved. The events list's Winner caption shows on a phone only, and Results keep "Bust-out" on one line.
  • On the Clock tab the clock and the cards beside it end on one line, and the room clock's explanation, on the Clock tab and on Club settings, opens from the "i" beside its heading.
  • A page opened in the minute a new version is still reaching every server no longer stays broken: a screen, or the site itself, that fails to load fetches its files again and reloads once.
  • Record a Deal after a tie in hand-for-hand counts the tied players' shared prizes once, so the players left are told the right amount to share.
  • The room clock's side panel starts again at its first page when it settles on a different number of rows per page, so no row is skipped; its table card counts only the tables somebody sits at.
  • A template remembers the chip set its levels were made for, and the quick event's full form keeps the set chosen on the quick sheet; a set since deleted leaves the default.
  • The Edit page of an event whose chip set has since been deleted says the event plays its own copy, instead of showing the club's default.
  • The table page's note about bust-outs shows only to those who bust players.
  • The winner's photo: when the last bust ends a night, the screen that recorded it offers to take a photo of the winner, for the Floor, a director or the owner. The photo shows on the room clock beside the winner's name, and on the winner's card at the top of the Results tab.
  • The winner's card: the club's badge and name, the event, the date and the number of players, the winner's photo in a circle (else their profile picture, or their initials) and their name, in the club's clock colour, with a small pokersjef.com. It never shows prize money. Share sends it from a phone; a computer saves it.
  • The winner can add their own photo from their phone, from a "You won" card on the events list, and remove a photo of themselves; the Floor and directors replace or remove it at any time. The photo is deleted with the event, with the club, and when the winner deletes their account; the privacy page says so.

PokerSjef 0.16.0

The floor release: one sheet per player with a search, self check-in by your own name only, the waiting list and the field maximum handled at the desk, add-ons closing with late entry, event screens about five times faster, and the fixes from the first full floor walkthrough.

Nytt

  • One sheet per player: tap a name on the Players page or at a table, or use "Find a player" at the top of any event page, and the sheet shows the player's state, seat, last count and money with every action your role has for them: check in, bust out, count the stack, rebuy, add-on, move to a free seat, withdraw, void, undo and unbust.

Endret

  • A stud table's amounts drop the complete, which is always the small bet, so the bring-in, the bets and the ante fit on one row; the structure preview drops it too.
  • The level sheet has one Small bet column for the stud games and the fixed-limit games; the separate Complete column is gone. Events already saved keep their amounts until their structure is edited.
  • Self check-in shows you only your own name: scanning the event's code asks you to sign in, then you tap "Yes, I'm here". Nobody can check somebody else in; a player without an account is checked in at the desk.
  • Voiding a no-show gives the place to the first person on the waiting list, as a cancelled sign-up already did. Bringing a voided player back into a full field puts them at the back of the waiting list.
  • Admitting somebody from the waiting list into a full field asks first ("The field is full at 10 players. Admitting Anders makes 11") and, on yes, raises the maximum to the new count.
  • Once late registration has closed nobody can join the waiting list, and a player still on it reads "Registration has closed" on their card.
  • Add-ons close with late entry and rebuys, after the same level; the add-on on the event form is just the cost and the chips.
  • The events list counts the waiting list apart, "10 players · 2 waiting", and signing up for a full event says you join the waiting list before you press.
  • An event that finishes ends hand-for-hand, and the final table's "resume once everyone is seated" notice no longer comes back during hand-for-hand.
  • The room clock keeps the standings, the payouts and the check-in code beside the tables on smaller screens too, so they never cover the blinds.
  • A screen shows a command's result as soon as the server has it, and a screen whose first read failed tries again within seconds instead of staying on "Loading".
  • Event screens open faster: the whole event and its games are read in one request instead of about fifteen, the screen being opened starts downloading at once instead of after the sign-in check, and every command reads the event the same way.
  • On the table view the big blind ante sits beside the big blind, and "How to play" is a small button in the table card's corner, out of the way of the clock and the amounts.
  • A stack given up for a rebuy starts a fresh count at the rebuy's chips, so the old count no longer shows under the player.
  • Stack depths in big blinds follow the game the player's table plays, on the Players page as on the table view.
  • Reversing a prize payment asks in the app's own window; the clock page says the room clock announces the bubble once the payouts are published.
  • Small fixes: no "Back to" button on a table's first game, numbers grouped by the app's language everywhere, "1 record", "Apply to the open table", "waiting list" throughout, the late-entry line naming rebuys and add-ons, a dash for no ante in the structure grid, the Admin tab in the profile window, and the admin's test banner no longer drawn over the club bar.
  • The Archie 66 guide gives the rule when nobody qualifies for the high or the low: the pot is split evenly among the players still in at the showdown.
  • The single draw guide says the game is almost always played no limit, and that fixed limit is rare.

PokerSjef 0.15.0

The players' release: a game guide for every game, stack counts at the table, a Help page, an instant join link beside the approval code, and a faster first page.

Nytt

  • A Help page in the app, in English and Norwegian, for owners, directors, the Floor, dealers and players: getting a new club started, the five roles and what each may do, running a night from the desk to the finalized result, what players do, seasons and leagues, and answers to common questions with how to reach support. It opens from the account menu and from the front page, needs no sign-in, and each part has its own link to send, such as pokersjef.com/help#roles.
  • Stack counts at the table. A dealer, the floor or a director presses Stack beside a player on the table view and types the chips they counted; the window starts from the last count, shows the stack's depth in big blinds at the level, and refuses 0 (the player is out: bust them out instead) or more chips than the tournament has in play.
  • Count the table, for a count at a break: the table view steps through the seated players one after another, with Skip and Stop counting.
  • Every count shows as a count with the time it was taken, such as "31,500 · counted 21:14 · 79 BB", under the player's name on the table view and in the Chips column of the Players page. It is never shown as a live stack, and the room clock's average stack is still the chips in play divided by the players left.
  • Everyone at the table sees the counts on the table view, players too: a stack is in plain view at a live table. A count recorded on one phone appears on the others at once.
  • A game guide for players. On the table view, "How to play" (for example "How to play PL Omaha hi-low") opens the game the table plays right now: what it is, how a hand goes step by step, how the betting works at this limit, how to win (the low qualifier, whether straights count, aces high or low), strong starting hands and hands to fold drawn as cards, and a few plain tips. It starts with the table's current limits in words, such as the blinds or the small and big bet, the bring-in and the ante, and follows the table when the game changes. Full screen on a phone, a side panel on a computer, in English and Norwegian.
  • On the Games page every game's name opens its guide, the club's own games too.
  • A Games guide page lists every game, to read before the night, with a choice of no limit, pot limit or fixed limit.
  • Every game has a full guide, the house games too: Super stud and Super stud hi-low (four cards down and one up, two thrown away before 4th street), Archie 66 (triple draw, high needs a pair of sixes, low 8 or better), Baduci (the best badugi and the best deuce-to-seven hand share the pot, aces high) and Sviten Special (Omaha and five-card draw, with the one-card face-up rule). Fixed limit is one bet and four raises, with the big bet from the round after the second burn card.
  • An instant join link on Club settings: anyone who opens it joins the club at once as a player. It is off until a director makes one; New link makes old links stop working, and Switch off removes it. Somebody who opens an old or switched-off link can still ask to join, and is told the link no longer works. Only a director sees it.

Endret

  • Hold'em is called Texas Hold'em everywhere, "NL Texas Hold'em" and so on.
  • The club code and its link always ask a director to approve, so the code is safe to read out or print. The "Requests need approval" and "Anyone with the link joins instantly" choice is gone from Club settings; a club that let anyone in at once has an instant join link instead.
  • Joining through the instant join link says "You're in — welcome to" the club.
  • The Floor sees the night's cash-up on the Players page, with the prizes paid out, and the Paid column on Results; paying and reversing prizes stay with a director.
  • Dealers work every event and table of the club; a dealer can no longer be limited to one event or table.
  • Chip counts and other plain numbers are grouped the reader's way, "200 000" in Norwegian and "200,000" in English, like money.
  • The first page loads faster: it downloads 164 KB of compressed code instead of 216 KB (561 KB instead of 730 KB unpacked). The room clock, a table and the profile window load when they are opened, the demo mode's code and sample data are no longer in the published site, and React and the database client sit in files of their own that the browser keeps from one release to the next.

PokerSjef 0.14.0

The night-on-the-floor release: roles like the club runs the room, a player's own seat on their phone, room display moments, a one-screen quick event, payment methods with a cash-up, venue search and the app's own confirmation windows.

Nytt

  • The profile window names the version the screen is running, with its commit, and says so on the staging site, for problem reports.
  • A quick event for a casual night, on one screen: the name, the start, the players expected, the length of the night and of a level, the starting stack, the smallest chip, one game and, if you like, a cash buy-in with rebuys. It builds every level and break with the blind calculator, shows the levels with their start times and when the night should finish, and creates the event in one tap.
  • The quick event shows the chips each player gets, such as 8 × 25, 8 × 100, 2 × 500, 8 × 1,000 and 2 × 5,000, from the club's own chips, or from the usual set with a link to Club settings when the club has not set its chips.
  • The events page offers Quick event beside the full event form, and Edit in the full form opens the quick event's settings there for anything more.
  • The self check-in page shows the waiting list apart: registered players first, then the waiting list under its own heading, each name with its place ("Waiting list · 2nd"). A player on the waiting list who presses "I'm here" is told they are on the waiting list and that the desk will call them if a seat opens.
  • The Players page shows waiting-list players who said they are here in their own group, "Waiting list, arrived", in waiting-list order, below the registered arrivals, so the desk seats the next one when a seat frees. Each waiting-list name shows its place.
  • Room clock moments, always beside or under the clock so the time and the blinds stay in view:
    • Before the start, a "Find your seat" list gives every seated player's table and seat in alphabetical order (Æ, Ø and Å last in Norwegian), page by page when the list is long.
    • After a balance, a Moves card lists each player to move, from which table and seat to which, until the floor marks the moves done; with the voice on, the room hears that players are moving tables.
    • With a published payout plan, "On the bubble" shows while one more player out puts everyone left in the money, and "In the money" shows for 20 seconds when the field reaches the paid places.
    • "Final table" shows for 30 seconds when the final table forms, unless the seat draw is already on the screen.
    • With the voice on, each moment is said once; reloading the screen does not repeat it.
  • A player's own seat is the first thing on the events page on the night: a large card with the table and seat and one "Go to my table" button, for anyone playing, whatever their role in the club. It also says when the player is registered, checked in and waiting for a seat, on the waitlist, deciding on a rebuy, or out, with their place.
  • When the floor moves a player, balancing or closing a table, their card turns to "Move to Table 1 · Seat 2" with the seat they are leaving, until the move is done; after the final table draw it says the seat has changed and names the old one. It updates by itself.
  • On every page of an event they play in, a small "My seat" button in the event's title bar opens their table in one tap, so a director or dealer who is also playing gets there too.
  • The table view marks the player's own row with "You" and brings it into view, and shows their seat, or the move to make, at the top.
  • The desk asks how each buy-in, rebuy and add-on was paid, Cash, Vipps or Card, with three large buttons; the one used last on the device is marked, and one tap records it. Each money record shows how it was paid.
  • Paying a prize asks whether it was handed over in cash or by Vipps.
  • A cash-up on the Payouts page: what the desk took and what was paid out in prizes, by cash, Vipps, card and not recorded, and what the cash box should hold at the end of the night.
  • A guide to the club roles (docs/ROLES.md): the five roles, what each may do, how roles are given and taken away, and what support can do.
  • Adding a location in Club settings suggests real places from Google as you type the venue's name or address; pick one and the name and the address fill in, and both stay editable. Typing by hand works as before, and without the service's Google key the form is plain typing.
  • An event's venue opens in Google Maps: tap the venue under the event's name on its pages, or beside the date on the events list. It shows when the venue has an address.

Endret

  • The privacy page names Google: the text a director types to find a venue goes to Google for the suggestions.
  • A player who cancels and signs up again joins the back of the waiting list instead of taking their old place.
  • A new location is one field, the venue's name or its street address; a Google suggestion brings its address with it. The club's places have more room between them, and each one with an address opens in Google Maps.
  • My results moved from the club's pages to the account menu, beside Profile and Logout; on a phone players still have it in the bottom bar.
  • The events list shows ten events a page, newest first, with Newer and Older; search and the filter still look through every event.
  • Money reads the way a club writes it: "1,500 kr" in English and "1 500 kr" in Norwegian, with øre only when there are some; euros, dollars and pounds show their symbol, other currencies their code.
  • The results spreadsheet gives prizes as plain figures with the currency in the column heading, so a spreadsheet can add them up.
  • The Floor now runs the whole room: the clock and hand-for-hand, the desk with its money (check-in with the buy-in, walk-ins, rebuys, add-ons, withdrawals), setting every table's game, undoing the final table draw, and printing the self check-in code and the club's join poster. Payouts, prize payments and the event's settings stay with a director.
  • A dealer records a player's chip stack, and no longer records a withdrawal; the desk does.
  • Only the club owner deletes a league or a season, and takes somebody else out of the club; anybody may still leave.
  • A director deletes or calls off only an event they created, and only until it is finalized; the owner deletes any event. The event page says why the button is missing.
  • Confirmations open in the app's own window instead of the browser's: every "are you sure?", every question asking for a reason (a void, an unbust, a reversal) and every warning now shows in PokerSjef's dark window, in your language, with a button that says what it does ("Delete the season", "Reset the clock to the start") and a red one when it cannot be taken back. A reason already filled in can be pressed straight away; a number that will not do, such as the chips handed in or a table's seats, is said under the field. On a phone the buttons fill the width.

PokerSjef 0.13.0

A small follow-up release that keeps the clock steadier across devices and cuts running costs.

Endret

  • The server judges every command (rebuys, late entry, hand-for-hand) against the clock as it stands at that moment, not as it was last saved.
  • When a page opens it takes the quickest of three readings of the server's time, so countdowns on different devices agree more closely.
  • The clock's background worker runs once a minute instead of every 15 seconds, and its run history is kept for two days only; open screens still move into the next level on time by themselves.
  • The clock worker no longer writes a line to the database log on every run, on both the live and the staging database, to stay inside the free log allowance.
  • The club menu no longer offers to copy the join code; the code under the club name is there to read out.

Fjernet

  • The old GitLab Pages copy of the site is fully switched off and its old DNS records are gone.
  • Unused code and translations; dated audit and research notes are filed away.

PokerSjef 0.12.0

The event-night release: hand-for-hand with ties, practice events, prize rounding, prize payment reversal, the club's chip set, and a desk and room clock reworked for phones and televisions.

Nytt

  • Hand-for-hand: the director or the floor starts it, calls each next hand and ends it; the clock is paused, each hand takes its minutes off the level, and each table's dealer marks the hand finished.
  • Players out on the same hand of hand-for-hand are tied at the better place and share the prizes of the places they cover equally, on every screen and in every ranking; hand-for-hand cannot start while rebuys are open.
  • Practice or private events: a tick in the event form; such an event counts in no season and no league, still counts in each player's own results, and shows a Practice label.
  • Prizes are rounded to a cash unit, 50 kr by default and chosen per event or per payout, with first place taking the leftover so the prizes still equal the pool.
  • A director can reverse a recorded prize payment, with a reason, until the result is finalized; the payment stays on record and the prize is owed again.
  • The club's chip set in Club settings: each chip's value and colour name; the structure shows which chips colour up at each break, and the room clock and the dealer's view name the chips coming off, say it aloud and show a legend of the chips still in play.
  • Room clock: the next level on every card, amber in the last minute and red in the last ten seconds, PAUSED over a paused clock, the published payouts beside the standings, levels read out on request, and the self check-in code shown in turn while late entry is open.
  • Room clock on a wide screen puts the tables on the left and the standings or payouts on the right, with the amounts sized so the blinds never run off the screen.
  • Standings and an event's finishing order download as spreadsheets.
  • Desk: Busted, rebuy in one confirmation, players deciding on a rebuy pinned at the top with Rebuy, Declines and Unbust, and Register and seat now for a walk-in.
  • Self check-in: a Type your name filter above a long list, and a tap asks "yes, I'm here" before anything is recorded.
  • An English and Norwegian switch before sign-in, on the front page, the sign-in card and self check-in.
  • Members shows how many people are asking to join; the front page links to joining with a club code.

Endret

  • Late entry and rebuys now close together after the same level, which an event that takes rebuys must set.
  • A night dated in a finished season still counts in it; the season's dates and scoring stay locked; season and league cards load faster.
  • Desk on a phone: one card per player with the likely action first (Approve, Rebuy, Add-on) and the rest under More.
  • Director console and table view: previous and next step name their level and ask first, a paused or unstarted clock says so and dims, and a device that has lost its connection says its clock is estimated and greys its buttons.
  • Payouts: the editor starts from the published split, Publish is the main action, prizes can be paid only against a confirmed plan or a recorded deal, and Finalize asks first.
  • The structure shows, while the clock runs, the time of day each level should end, and scrolls to the level being played.
  • Seating: Balance shows how many moves it will make, the close button names its table, and Find a player brings their seat into view.
  • A refused command shows near the bottom of the screen, within reach of the button pressed, until dismissed.
  • Every button and field on a touch screen is at least 44 pixels tall, and a 375-pixel phone no longer scrolls sideways; the events list shows as cards on a phone and names a finished event's winner.
  • My results charts show the last 30 events with Show all, and show total rebuys; the audit log loads older records a page at a time.
  • The build pipeline runs one job per staging push, builds production only from the release button and skips documentation-only pushes, to save pipeline minutes.

Rettet

  • My results no longer names a winner when a director ended the night by hand with several players still in.
  • A page left open during a release reloads once instead of going blank.
  • The desk no longer redraws every row four times a second, which slowed it on phones.
  • Links to another club's season or league open it, and a failed read offers Try again instead of loading for ever; the print poster prints again.

PokerSjef 0.11.0

The move to faster hosting in the Nordics with a staging site and a release button, and seasons redesigned as club time windows with leagues as chosen events. Released to pokersjef.com on the morning of 29 September.

Nytt

  • Seasons and leagues redesigned: a season is a set period in which every event of the club counts, with its own scoring, and every club gets the year, the current season and the next; a league is a set of events the club chooses, and one event may count for several leagues.
  • Separate Seasons and Leagues pages, with cards showing the leader while one runs and the top three once it is over; a league can be finished and reopened like a season.
  • My results shows where you stand in every season and league that counts a night you played.
  • The events list shows an event's leagues as small tags that open each league.
  • A staging copy at staging.pokersjef.com with a Staging ribbon; production changes only from a Deploy to production button that first checks no event is in progress.
  • Phone navigation: a slim top bar and the club's pages in a tab bar at the bottom; the club card opens a club menu to switch, create or join a club.
  • The Games page lists standard and club variants with their family (community card, draw, stud or hybrid).

Endret

  • The database moved to Stockholm, with the command service in Frankfurt, the nearest region that runs it; the sign-in is now stored so that a later move signs nobody out.
  • The site is served by Cloudflare Pages with its DNS on Cloudflare; the first byte from Oslo went from 488 to 76 milliseconds.
  • Commands answer faster because the sign-in is checked once and the caller is looked up in one call.
  • Logout signs out this device only.
  • Every screen belongs to the event it was opened from; old short links open the events list.
  • The game list is one list, and older structures and records were converted to it.
  • The privacy page names Cloudflare, Stockholm and Frankfurt.

Fjernet

  • Invite links: clubs are now joined with the club code.
  • The GitLab Pages copy of the site and its pipeline step, which could update production on any push, even during an event.
  • One-off operator scripts, two of which held real players' names.

Rettet

  • Standings read every finish in a season, not only the first 1,000.

PokerSjef 0.10.0

Facebook sign-in for everyone, a player statistics page, the stud ante and player ante names, and one Members list.

Nytt

  • Facebook sign-in works for every user now that Meta has approved the app review.
  • My results keeps a player's statistics: spending, profit and return, how often they rebuy, finishes, streaks, graphs and a table by club; the full history is a paid feature, free for everyone while in testing.
  • The structure sheet says level by level whether the stud tables collect the player ante or the stud ante, and every screen shows only the one collected.
  • Whoever starts a club is its Owner: a director who may also delete the club and whose director role nobody can remove.
  • One Members list with search, filter and sort, a pencil to set access or remove someone, and a merge button, 20 people a page.

Endret

  • The two stud antes are called the stud ante and the player ante everywhere, in messages and documents too.
  • Player is the least a club member holds: removing a staff role leaves a Player; people who left the club are no longer listed, but their names stay on the nights they played.
  • Room clock cards show each amount under its own name, two to a row, and the full-screen button sits beside the chime button.
  • Pages keep clear of a phone's notch and home bar; hints open on a tap as well as on hover, and a tap on a greyed-out button shows why.
  • The sidebar shows the club's pages without counts, and loads faster for it.
  • The terms describe clubs anyone can start and join by code, the roles and deleting your own account.

Rettet

  • The live finishing order gives no place or prize to a player still in, and such a payment is refused.
  • A cancelled signup moves the first person on the waiting list up.
  • Next step keeps a paused clock paused, and balancing never picks a player who is deciding on a rebuy.
  • Picture uploads work while an administrator is testing as another account.

PokerSjef 0.9.0

Francois's answers to the open design questions, a result that can be corrected, account deletion, Norwegian, faster pages and a long list of money and clock safety fixes.

Nytt

  • The Floor role replaces the power user: every dealer right plus seating, moving and balancing players, running the tables and unbusting, but no money; Members offers Player, Dealer, Floor and Director.
  • A player still in play may give up their stack and rebuy; the chips handed in leave the tournament and come back if the rebuy is reversed.
  • A cash event may keep a percentage rake or a fee per entry, on the buy-in only or on rebuys and add-ons too; the prize pool is what is left.
  • A finalized result can be reopened for correction with a reason, and every finalization keeps a permanent copy of the result it confirmed.
  • The desk can record a withdrawal, with the chips handed in and a reason.
  • A director can merge two records of the same person, and the club's history of cancellations, deletions, merges and role changes is on Settings.
  • Anyone can delete their own account from Profile; the account is anonymised as Deleted player and the results stay.
  • An administrator can test the app as another account, with a banner and a one-hour limit.
  • A player sees their seat and results from every club; a director can remove someone and anybody can leave a club.
  • A deal can be recorded from the Payouts page, and a new club is shown its first steps.
  • The profile opens as a window with names, picture (Google, Facebook, upload or camera), language and date format, newsletter, your clubs and account deletion.
  • The whole app is available in Norwegian as well as English.
  • Club codes are four characters, and lookups pause after 20 misses in an hour.

Endret

  • Seasons are optional: an event may belong to no season, and the automatic Standalone events seasons are gone.
  • Late entry always stays open through the break after its last level.
  • Cancelling a draft or published event deletes it, with a reason, and the club keeps a record of who cancelled it.
  • A finished season is frozen, and only an administrator can reopen it.
  • Archiving only takes an event off the active list: it still counts in standings and stays readable.
  • The desk stays fully open on a completed event, so a night can be corrected before it is finalized.
  • The final table forms only once the field drops to the number set, and after late entry has closed; the league's final-table bonus follows the event's own final table.
  • The countdown follows the server's clock, so a television set two minutes wrong no longer ends levels early or late.
  • Pages load faster: compressed files, rarely used screens fetched later, and a clock tick re-reading only the clock; the command service now runs next to the database.
  • The room display groups tables playing the same game into one card, and phone layouts fit a 375-pixel screen.

Rettet

  • A prize cannot be paid twice or beyond what is owed, even when the wifi drops a reply or two directors press at once.
  • Two directors can no longer record the same rebuy or add-on twice.
  • Setting the time left can no longer land on the wrong level after the clock has moved on.
  • A player who busted and is deciding on a rebuy, or who has rebought, can no longer be voided.
  • A balance order is cancelled if the player was moved by hand in between.
  • A player who unregistered is found again at the desk instead of being created twice.
  • Starting the clock on an unpublished draft is refused, and the clock of a finalized night can no longer be reset.
  • A fixed-limit or stud structure reopens with the amounts the director typed rather than doubled.
  • A failed Google or Facebook sign-in says why, and the payout editor states a shortfall in money rather than in øre.
  • The lobby shows where each event is played, and copies keep the venue.
  • A load test of three 150-player events at once, with a database restart, found two bust-outs claiming the same place; that is fixed.

PokerSjef 0.8.0

Two full audits of the code and the fixes they led to: tighter security, events visible only to club members, and many clock, money and league corrections.

Endret

  • Every change now goes through the command service, with its audit record and checks; the direct write access signed-in browsers still had is removed.
  • A club's events, leagues, seasons, standings, games and venues are visible only to its members; the room display signs in.
  • A self check-in link stops working when the night ends, and the check-in page says whether it finished or was called off.
  • In no-limit deuce-to-seven the ante is the small blind and the big blind combined.
  • A cancelled event no longer behaves like a live one: the clock will not start and the desk takes nobody and no money.
  • The room display shows only the payouts a director published, marked provisional when they are, and says when the standings were published and that tonight is not in them.
  • Error messages lead with a sentence a director can act on, and headings use a director's words.
  • Shared links show a proper preview card and the site has an icon.

Rettet

  • Nudging the clock, jumping levels and ending the night all keep the minutes already played.
  • Amending the structure while the clock runs keeps breaks in place and never doubles one.
  • Reordering the mix keeps every table's game and its place in the rotation.
  • Stepping the clock back no longer reopens late registration, including after a structure change or a clock reset.
  • Publishing league standings no longer wipes them, and a season total is rounded once.
  • Finalization reads the confirmed payout plan everywhere and says what it is waiting for.
  • The desk no longer counts a reversed rebuy, and every money record can be reversed from the audit log.
  • An event that will not load says why, and moving between an event's tabs no longer stops its live updates.
  • Balancing counts the moves already ordered and will not seat the last two players at separate tables.
  • The bust-out and late-entry questions open over the page, so a phone does not leave them off screen.
  • An event ended with several players still in gives the same finishing order every time.
  • A director can no longer register another club's player, and a closed result can no longer be changed by a bust-out, withdrawal or undone check-in.
  • The stud ante is no longer the same figure as the bring-in.
  • A password reset link reaches the screen that sets the password, and the payout editor uses the event's own currency.
  • Database changes are now tried on a throwaway copy before they reach the live service.

PokerSjef 0.7.0

Facebook sign-in, a front page for new visitors, and a blind calculator that writes numbers like the club's own sheet. The code moved to Francois's own GitLab group and the database to his own Supabase organisation.

Nytt

  • The blind calculator starts 200 big blinds deep, raises the blinds every level, gently first and steeply last, and writes easy numbers after the club's sheet.
  • The smallest chip is a setting of the levels sheet, and the sheet flags every amount the chips cannot make.
  • A full-screen button on the room display that also keeps the screen awake.
  • Sign-in shows a button, with its logo, for each provider switched on, Facebook beside Google.
  • A front page for people who have never seen the product, saying it is free while being built.
  • A director can rename a league.

Endret

  • The privacy page and terms name the operator and cover Facebook sign-in.
  • Unregistering can be undone by signing up again, and the button says Unregister rather than Cancel.
  • The invite list shows only invites still waiting; delete confirmations say what to type.
  • A visitor who has not signed in sees the product and the sign-in card, not an empty club sidebar.
  • The test club's old name no longer appears anywhere in the code.

Rettet

  • Deleting a club works, and an event's buttons stay on one line in the events list.
  • The build refuses to publish a site that is not connected to the database.

PokerSjef 0.6.0

Club settings and the first blind calculator.

Nytt

  • A Club settings page: name, badge, clock background, locations, join link with QR code and poster, joining rule, and delete for the owner; an event can say where it is played.
  • A blind calculator in the event form: from the players, stack, rebuys, the night's length and the level length it fills the sheet with evenly climbing blinds and breaks, previewed first.
  • The calculator fills every game's amounts (no limit, pot limit, fixed limit and stud), and fixed-limit and stud bets can run a step ahead of the blinds or level with them.
  • Deuce-to-seven double draw joins the games every club has.

Endret

  • Games and limits are kept apart: a game joins the mix as no limit, pot limit or fixed limit.
  • Stud antes are named Player ante and Stud ante.
  • The desk lists arrivals first and finds a waiting player by name.
  • The sidebar account card and the events list (Scheduled, Ongoing, Finished) are redesigned.

PokerSjef 0.5.0

Fixes from a walkthrough of every role, joining a club by key, pictures beside names, and the privacy pages Google's review needed.

Nytt

  • A short club key lets a person find a club and ask to join, with a director's approval.
  • A picture beside every name, from Google or an upload, and a badge for the club.
  • A roster name is shortened to a first name and an initial; a player can set their own and leave a note for the director.
  • Every club member has a player record, so the desk lists them instead of asking for a name.
  • Late registration is enforced at the desk: after the cut-off a director admits a player with a reason the audit keeps.
  • An event can be cancelled with a reason.
  • Public privacy and terms pages.

Endret

  • Each event state offers only its next step, and the server enforces it.
  • Dealers work every table rather than an assigned one.
  • Notifications stack in a corner and leave after five seconds.
  • The sign-in page hides the password box until asked for, and says Google makes a new account.
  • Each role lands on its own front page, and money figures are hidden from players and dealers.

Rettet

  • A sleeping computer no longer loses its session.
  • Stale move orders are cancelled rather than carried out, and a cleared scan keeps a waiting player in the queue.
  • Copies keep their settings and follow their date into the right season; time zones are checked.
  • New database functions are locked by default, checked on every build.

PokerSjef 0.4.0

Changes after the first real event, Lørdagspoker on 12 September: a club's own games, the final table, payouts and prize payments, league scoring and a proper end to the night.

Nytt

  • A club can add its own games on a Games screen.
  • The final table forms itself at the event's number, always at Table 1, with a seat draw on every screen; a director can undo it with a reason.
  • The last player standing ends the tournament: the win is confirmed and named, the seats are freed and the tables close; an unbust reopens the night.
  • Payouts by share of the field, percentage per place or amount per place; a published plan sits behind a Revise button.
  • Prize payments recorded from the finishing order, one player or everyone outstanding.
  • League scoring families with best-N, minimum events, participation and winner bonuses, event multipliers, finished seasons and a preview; standings on the room clock.
  • Seating shows each table from above, with a dedicated dealer at the top or seat one dealing.
  • The dealer view shows the previous game with a 30-second undo and the next level during a break.
  • An event or a league can be deleted, by a director, with a typed confirmation.
  • A completed event finalizes itself 24 hours later when nothing blocks it.

Endret

  • Clock and table-game buttons show their result at once and the server confirms it.
  • A new event starts as a free event, with money screens hidden; cash is opted in.
  • One-tap approve at the desk, and arrivals fill tables in number order from Table 1, opening tables as needed.
  • The room clock pages its table cards when they do not fit, and shows the next level's amounts in a break.
  • A one-game night shows no game rotation, and a player's table view is read-only.
  • A new league starts on the field-scaled scoring, the platform default.

PokerSjef 0.3.0

The day the product became PokerSjef on pokersjef.com, with clubs, roles, leagues and everything needed for the first real event the next day.

Nytt

  • The name PokerSjef, a chip logo and a dark theme with a green accent; the site on the pokersjef.com domain.
  • An event lobby with a club switcher; clubs and events are created from it, and members register and cancel there.
  • Club roles, invite links and dealers for the whole club; Members offers Player, Dealer and Director, and a director can rename the club.
  • An audit log with undo, and correction of a bust-out, with an Unbust action.
  • A result screen with guarded finalization.
  • Leagues, seasons, standings and scoring with a preview.
  • Templates, a weekly repeat and Play again.
  • The clock advances on its own on the server, and a screen asks for the next level when its countdown ends.
  • The clock shows the next break, when each step ends and stack depth in big blinds, with a soft bell at one minute left and a chime on a new level.
  • The director can set the exact time left, with minute nudges; the room clock and the table view keep the screen awake.
  • An event can be edited, its structure edited as a sheet cell by cell, and amended while the clock runs from the next level on.
  • Stud games can carry a player ante and a stud ante; big-bet games get a big blind ante column; stud games show the complete.
  • A busted player waits as deciding on a rebuy while rebuys are open.
  • Tables can be added, removed and given their own seat count, and a seated player can be dragged to move or swap seats.
  • The desk shows the table and seat after an approval so it can tell the player.
  • The mix is picked from two lists, with the rotation dragged into order.
  • Big O, Sviten Special, Drawmaha, Super stud hi-low, Archie 66, Baduci and the rest of the club's own game list.
  • Display branding and a banner strip; offline screens refuse commands.

Endret

  • The pages move into a sidebar, with the open event's name and tabs across the top, and a table picker on the table view.
  • The room clock counts levels, not steps, and calls the pause a break.

PokerSjef 0.2.0

Registration, seating and money: the desk, the seating map and the money screen.

Nytt

  • A registration desk and a seating map.
  • A money screen with buy-ins, rebuy and add-on limits and payouts; a club can name its own rebuy.
  • The event lifecycle, the club's player list and self check-in by QR code.
  • Void and undo at the desk; undo frees the seat and clears the scan.
  • A set-password screen for account recovery links.

Endret

  • Every screen refreshes after a command and when a device wakes.

PokerSjef 0.1.0

The first working build, started from the requirements pack: the tournament clock, mixed games and a backend that records every change.

Nytt

  • A director console, a room clock, a structure view and a dealer's table view.
  • One tournament clock and level for the room, with each table keeping its own game in the mix and the right betting amounts for it.
  • The rules for the clock, mixed games, seating, registration, money, payouts and league points, tested against the worked examples in the specification.
  • Sign-in, and a command service that saves each change with its audit record and refuses a change based on an out-of-date view.
  • Live updates to every open screen, including a second screen on the same event.
  • The site published on GitLab Pages, connected to the database.
